OMG I was sitting by the pool,mostly
minding my own business, when the
whole world went dark and water fell
from the sky. I got wet, like swimming
in the ocean. It was awful. I certainly
hope it doesn't happen again.

I am starting to believe it will be Spring soon because it is up to 3 degrees today. the snow is melting slowly, as it has been for the last few weeks, so I don't think there will be a real problem with flooding. Just a pool of water around the trees that are in a low spot in the front yard. Our stream looks good--nowhere near overflowing its banks. But we are in the awkward stage of heating our house. It is too chilly to go without heating but the airtight stove does too good a job of warming the place. Electric it is! I renewed my OHIP card yesterday, which was an ordeal, but it is done. I never received the new photo ID notification in the mail, so I am late to the party...but at least it is done. Whew.

-5 feels like -12....getting ready to go to the cabin for a couple+ days..mild temps for the later part of the week (+8 for Saturday & rain!) so our winter cabin trips will soon be coming to an end...some of the brooks are already starting to open....Spring is in the air!
