    My only words of wisdom are to let your body heal after wards, don't over do it. Follow what they recommend. And try not to rub all your girl friends noses in the fact that you no longer get a period or cramps.

    A friend of mine said the same thing, she was so happy to get it done and not have to deal with any more pain.

    IBS= Irritable Bowel Syndrome

    It might just help with that if there isn't so much inflammation in your belly things might settle down a bit...*shrug* but I don't really know.

    Sorry if this is TMI but when it is that time of the month my bowel habits change and I can't always predict which way they will change if you know what I mean!

    I had no idea that your period could affect the bowels, that's a double curse!
    Hopefully it clears that up as well.

    momto5kids I will keep you in my thoughts and send you healing vibes.

    It helps mine as I am not constipated at this time... I will still have the hormones, pms, just no flow now, but will still be paying for sanitary products i have 3 other in the household to get their periods but it will be quite awhile till the younger ones get. Poor hubby he will have 4 women going through PMS at the same time, unless i hit menopause before my almost 3 yr old gets her period.

    I had mine done when I was 25 and it was the best thing for me,after just a few days the surgery pain was over and I was waiting for the usual pain to start up and it didn't. I have enjoyed not having to schedule things around cramps and trips to hosp because I was going into hosp for 4 days to a week every 3-4 months. They left my ovaries and back then it was through the tummy so I have a fine line from belly button down but I have never regretted having the procedure done. I hope you have a great recovery and enjoy the freedom.
