OH just give me the Fudge! I haven't had any since my grandma died 7years ago. I never could make and neither could my mom. The stuff from the store is OK, but just not the same. I think the LOVE is the missing part. Grandma would make a dish just for me and then another for everyone else.
On a happier note. My mom would make suger pie, but not the same as anyone else.
She would just add brown suger, butter and some cream to a slightly cooked pie crust and then cook it again. It would stay very leaky and gooey and you would have to eat it with a spoon.
I was going to fill the freezer with apple pies this year, but my tree only had one apple on it this year.

LOL this is funny! One thing I wish is that pie with apples in it would not take so long to make! My goodness it takes awhile to chop up enough apples! I like the idea of the little pie countess-takes alot less time to make too!! Well maybe not the cooking part but the preparing would take less time. Oh well. I better go and chop up the apples because I want to have some pie!!! I am going to make me a pie and not sharing with Shaman who steals them! lol

*woosh* There goes the Pie Thief! Swiped the remains of last nights saskatoon pie...at least that's what I'll tell DH *shifty eyes*.
True story...for the last few years that my Grandparents lived on their farm, before they moved to the Lodge, my Memere swore up and down that someone was stealing pies out of her deepfreeze...hence...the Pie Thief was born. I secretly think it was Pepere stealing them and eating them in his shop though. Lol.
