I'll start. I think I've already told the folks on the PnP thread, so for anyone else interested, here goes.

When I was in my early 20s, I took my Mom to see Hamlet at a theatre in downtown Toronto. I had visions of a prim & proper night of Shakespeare. & I was thrilled that I'd managed to score tickets, near the front, dead centre.

The lights came up and...Hamlet & Ophelia were slow dancing. In front of a bed. I didn't remember that from English class, but, hey, it's up to each company how to adapt a play. Right?

Then the lights went down. My Mom leaned over & asked me what the actors were doing in the corner in the dark. Were they changing their clothes? Hmmm. Really didn't remember that part.

The lights came up again, and...there stood Hamlet. Alone, a few feet in front of us (did I mention this was a small theatre?). & without a stick of clothing on. Doing a soliloquy. While Ophelia lay naked on the bed.

My eyes immediately went down...to my feet. That was it for the nudity, but my eyes never left the floor. Kept wishing I'd brought one of my friends instead of my Mom.

My Mom thought it was hilarious. She couldn't wait to tell my Dad when we got home.

We still talk about naked Hamlet.

A few yrs ago I was at an event & was introduced to naked Hamlet. The poor actor must have thought I was crazy. I couldn't make eye contact, no matter how hard I tried.

    So, who's next?

    Was "it" a long soliloquy?
The only question I cannot answer... why?

One of my most embrassing moments just happened on Saturday afternoon. I was taking down my yard sale signs from that morning and I fell off the curb and sprained my ankled. The reason it was so embrassing was we had hung the sign by the Tim Hortons Drive Thru. So I had fallen right in the Tim Horton's Drive Thru and I could not get up. My boyfriend had to get out of the car and help me up so I was blocking the drive thru. Everyone was looking at me and asking if I was alright.
So now I am stuck on crutches

    Okay,

I was swimming at a public pool and really enjoying myself.

While swimming I started to notice the bottoms of my bikini were getting looser, but I didn't think anything of it, I thought I would impress my then boyfriend by diving off the diving board, so I dove and once I popped up I felt something was missing, I then noticed my bikini bottoms were missing and sunk all the way to the bottom of the deep end which is WAY to deep to reach, So I told the lifeguard what happened and he told EVERYONE to get out of the pool because I lost my bikini bottoms and was naked from the bottom down and he had to get them back.

So there I was sitting in the pool while the other 200 people were out of the pool starring at me, while the lifeguard got my bottoms back.

Oh dear, are you okay? Did you at least get a sympathy coffee out of it?

Poor thing! The same thing happened to my friend, only it was her top. We were in Florida at the beach & she went quite far out to feel the waves crashing over her. They did, & left...with her top. I had to go take her her T-shirt, so she wouldn't put on a show, only I can't swim, so I was reluctant to go to far & couldn't get close to her. She had to swim with 1 arm, the other one strategically positioned, until she reached me. Too bad the pretty boys she was trying to impress earlier weren't paying attention.

so most embarrassing moment? well that would be tough because I have had sooooo many!!! see if there is one thing I am good at-it is being clumsy! One such time was in highschool and it was curling and I am not so good at that. The embarrassing moment didn't even happen during curling either! It happened before we even started the one time I think. We were all wearing those slidy things on the one shoe that you wear for curling and standing on the ice listening to the instructions and one minute I was standing with everyone else.... and then the next... I was flat on my back with the ENTIRE class looking at me and snickering and the teacher looking upset because I interupted the class! I got bruised and my pride got bruised even further and you know high school-I heard about it for awhile afterwards! That was only one of a WHOLE lot of clumsy things that happened in high school! good times. not. Then there is my clumsiness that has caused many more embarrassing moments through out the rest of my life also. Sometimes I think it is funny that if my life was on tape we could make this blooper reel of all the times I have fallen or what ever and it would be like watching funniest videos.

Ooh, my soulmate, I'm really bad when it comes to anything remotely connected to sports. The second (& last) time I went bowling, my friend's new bf was trying to explain to me how to stand & how to roll the ball. My friend & her bf were standing behind me, actually quite far behind me. I steadied myself, & let go of the ball...which struck my friend's bf in the shins.

I've sworn to never set foot in another bowling alley again.

    Alright, here goes:

It was grade 5, and the last day of school before Xmas holidays. Half the school went to the Gym to sing Xmas Carols right after lunch. The gym was packed with about 400 students of all ages, and it was super hot and nasty in there.

I should note that for lunch that day, I had a peanut butter sandwich, a chocolate pudding, 2 cookies and a milk. (Nice healthy lunch, thanks mom!)

I'm sure you all can guess where this is going but anyway, throughout the singing, I was feeling really sick, I mean REALLY sick, but for some reason, I was scared to get up and go to the washroom in front of all those people. Guess I thought I would get in trouble.

Anyway, I managed to get through the whole hour of singing Christmas songs, but as half the school was lining up and trying to file out of the gym doors, I tossed my cookies (and chocolate pudding, etc.) all over the gym floor in front of about 400 students, including the cutest grade 6 boy who I had a huge crush on.

We never did end up dating lol.

I was working as a waiter for a private Christmas party. Things were great. I was even told to start partying with everyone.

The host of the party pulled me off the dance floor to let me know my zipper had broken.... I wasn't wearing my apron or underwear at the time.
Suffice to say the apron went back on!!
The only question I cannot answer... why?

this happened to a friend of mine. we were going down water slides and i went down first and waited for her at the bottom. when she stood up from the slide, i noticed her top had slide up to above her chest revealing everything, and she didnt even notice until i told her!

    and now my story....
i was 17 and taking an automotive course....i was lifting a minivan up on the hoist and forgot i was using the "car" hoist....all of a sudden the roof of the minivan knocked off the water valve hanging down from the ceiling and water started spraying everywhere, including into the teachers minivan that i was lifting! by the time they got the water turned off, my shop was flooded, the metal shop was flooded and the wood working shop was flooded and everyone knew it was me because i was the only girl in that half of the school! for the rest of the year everyone referred to me as "that girl who flooded the shops!"

ah bowling another sport I should maybe stay away from? My family has a good time with the way I bowl! Every time I let the ball go I fall on my but! but I hit the pins so does it matter? well not me but the ball hits the pins!

Well, then, he simply was not good enough for ya.

Only time I did anything like that I was in hospital & out of it, so it doesn't count. Of course, I did make this really really really spicy (improvised) pasta dish once when I invited my neighbour over for lunch. I didn't realize how bad it was until she started coughing & had to spit the pasta into her napkin.

    Why are we not surprised?

I once went out dancing in a short dress, in winter. I was walking up some icy steps & fell backwards, exposing my, um, modesty. I didn't do much better with long skirts - last week I was crossing the street when a strong gust of wind blew my skirt up, over my head. While I struggled to get the skirt back down, I put on quite a show.

Oh dear. I've never had that issue, but I did have a foster dog at one point who had the same issue during thunderstorms. Yikes, if I knew it was going to rain & would put a mask on asap.
