Yep. the email I have from head office says it is up to the independent stores and the level of fraud with coupons in that locale too
My local store and the one near work no longer accept internet coupons

Guess it would seem to be more practical to check with the shoppers you frequent most often "before" needing something and being refused the use of the coupon?
It makes total sense to me tho, that IF they have had a high rate of fraudulent coupons presented there.........they maybe would be leary of anyone!

Hi everyone, I'm new to SC and have been reading about the Shoppers Optimum program.
Have a quick question : In another thread, someone said that 10,000 points is worth $21 but on Shopper's website 22,000 points is $30. Half of that (11,000 points) would only be $15? How is the point to dollar amount calculated exactly?
Thanks in Advance!

So I went SDM today for the 18,500 points wus $75. I got 4 boxes of Spectro eczema cream at 17.88 a box - no coupons and not on sale, but we use a ton of it and its an easy way to reach $75 for the points. I also grabbed 5 of the Advil Nighttime that was on sale for 3.99 but Free with the $4.00 off coupons.
After reading SC and knowing that I didn't actually have to spend $75 to get the points and other people using the Advil to bump up their totals but bring their OOP down, I figured it was going to be easy bonus points for me since I needed the Spectro anyway. When I got to the till I handed the cashier the Spectro first and then the advil. She rang one coupon after she scanned each Advil ... Advil, coupon, advil, coupon etc. But then she said I was still $4.00 short of the $75. Should I have asked that she ring in all the Advil first and then all the coupons? I ended up picking up a few more things with coupons that I had to make the $75, but I know that I shouldn't have had to.
What should I have done differently? My Trade List: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/187326-...a/#post3097049

It shouldn't matter what order you use it. I did mine tonight and used about $25 in different coupons, she scanned them right after the product it was for. I still received my points.

Well, when the cashier says you have to spend $75 and you know you don't, just tell her that's okay, you aren't concerned with the points.
However, if you did not get your points in this case, then it's likely she rang your coupons in under the wrong code as the order does not matter. Check your receipt and see whether the code in front of the lines with coupon deductions show "2001" or "2002." If they were entered as 2002 then that was incorrect as it is a $ off coupon and not an FPC.

Hi Sc,
So I just got back from Shoppers and after thinking about what to get from last week and waiting for today to come, so that I can do my shop to get the 18500 BP. I'm afraid I just had the worst cashier. And I am now concern that I might loose my points, here is what happen:
I went and got all my stuff (no Advil, but had a plan B incase there was none, so went to plan B) Loaded everything in my cart went to the side added it up to make sure I was at $75. I was a bit over, very good I thought, got my coupons out to bring my oop down, took my op card out, took my plus bonus points coupon out. (I had read last night where it was suggested to give the plus bp coupon first so that is what I did, she read it, didnot scan it, put it to the side and scan all my stuff, then she total my stuff saw that it was over $75, then scan my plus bp coupon. I then gave her my coupons to bring my oop down and she told me she cant take them as they would bring my sub total below $75 and I wouldn't get the 18500 BP. I told her it's ok I would still like to use my coupons and she wasn't happy about that. Telling me and giving me back my coupons saying to use them another time. (Now most of these coupons I am using will expire tonight which is why I am using them today). So I insisted that I wanted to use my coupons today, she then takes the plus BP coupon out and press void, I asked her what she was doing? she then told me that she was going to void my coupon out and give it back to me as I am insisting on using coupons and I am going to bring my sub total below $75. I told her not to void my coupon, and if she does void it, then void the whole transaction, needless to say she didn't like that, and she went on to behave so nasty as she did each coupon. Now after she enter the coupons she does a subtotal, then tells me what my total is. I paid and then she waits for my receipt to print, then flips out when she see the bonus points saying I shouldn't have gotten it and she needs to void it. I told her I would like my bill, she tells me it's not right as the coupons brought my total to below $75. She then close her cash register as she takes up my bp coupon. So my question SC can she void my points off my bill? She was very upset that I got the 18500 Bp. And I am wondering if I need to go to Shoppers and check my points tomorrow. As this ever happen to any of you where they void your points off after you have left? (and I dont mean like a couple weekends ago where if you took the bonus $20 gc the 20X points were coming up also and then they later took back those points).
Thanks for any answers/insights.
And if this is in the wrong section sorry.

My receipt doesn't say 2001 or 2002 it says "Advil Lidui-gels 1B 3.99 Saleb, Vendor coupon 1N 3.99- Y"
Not sure what that means. But she must have rang it in wrong because the four spectro creams that I got were 17.88 each x 4 = $71.52, which accounts for the $3.50 that she said I still owed if I wanted the points. I'll have to watch carefully next time to the 2001 vs 2002 codes.
Thanks for the help.
