I think there must be a Microsft SQL server on the backend of this site ... and when I tried to give you a rep, well let's just say we pooched it.

I just have to inquire with you FlyGuy. Is it true what they say about...?
No, I mean about how a sonic boom from an jet can break any kind of glass? Is it true?
Too funny - 16 visitors are now googling "sonic boom and glass". The 4 lady guests are googling "pilot" and "is it true".This Month's Cool Site - Google Translate for Animals

Wow, you worked there? Cool! There was a day when I thought Electro-Sonic was the best store in the GTA! I used to buy all sorts of components and electronics kits there. The Heathkit and Electro-Sonic catalogues were my equivalent of the Sears' Christmas Wish Book in those days!

Hmm, I love cryptic questions! Lets see now, potential responses could include:
- Now you know why they call it a cockpit!
- There's a reason we sit in the pointy end!
- A pilot really can take you around the world!
As for sonic booms, I've never been a fast jet jockey, so I can't speak from experience. I do remember a day when a USAF jet flew too close to the sound barrier as he flew overhead at an air show one day and caused significant damage to our hangar, but no windows were broken. So I guess that myth has been busted.A truly wise man never plays leapfrog with a unicorn.

Yup!! I worked at E/S for the better part of a year, getting my fill of semiconductors and associated components..
From there I progressed to electronic security systems for a couple of years,
and when THAT faded out, decided on aviation as my final career choice!
So, since about mid 1976, I've been an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Last five years working on design and construction of experimental manned "lighter-than-air" stuff!!
It's been a fun ride, for the last few years, but now I think I'd like
to slip into a slower-paced vocation! I'm getting too old to go chasing airships around the
countryside
and wrangling them into port!!!
