...and oddly enough, it was for a new zippered binder for my coupons!! lol.

I have a love/hate relationship with my WM, but I am a sucker for punishment, so I keep going back .....hoping against hope that they might actually have stock for what is advertised on sale (Maxwell House Coffee, Swiffer Wet Jet, Pampers in our size, I'm lookin' at all of you..)

My mom and I were out with the babies and she needed a few things at WM, so off we went. When browsing about, we came across a new 'clearance' rack at the back of the main isle.
There I found the cutest zippered binder/lunch bag/pencil case combo for $10 ( I was shocked to see that zippered binders can cost up to $20ish while I was pricing them out)!!

When we get to the cash, it rings in at $15. I'll spare you the details (another story for another day *sigh*) but 30mins later, I left with my FREE binder set!

Thanks to my Mom who strolled around with the babies while we sorted things out

I'll be back to post pics of the set (it's so pretty!) as I have 2 sleeping little cherubs on either side of me

ETA: finally figured out what my issue was posting pics. *phew*. Pls let me know if it is too big. I followed the instructions in the sticky, but it's my first time posting pics here. Tks

Good for you! It's always a bit intimidating to scop...You never know how cashiers will react. Sometimes it's hard enough to use coupons but to get something for free - yikes!

BTW - babies? Wow, that must be a handful! and finding time for couponing?

A SCOP on a coupon binder. LOVE IT!

I haven't ventured into the SCOP world yet--though I've had no shortage of opportunity to do so. It scares me a little because I don't feel confident and don't feel like I understand the policy thoroughly enough to know if it applies or when it applies...(despite having read the SCOP primer posted on this site.)

    I'm a slow learner, I guess...hehe.

    thanks everyone!

    lekate, yes the Barrhaven one

I think I only feel comfortable, so far, SCOPing in places where I know for certain they adhere to the policy. Walmart and SDM make it easier because they typically have the SCOP policy in writing somewhere near the cash or he front door. My WM had it right on the counter where you give your money.

Still want to put up a pic, but it keeps failing when I try

Its very easy ..don't be intimidated by it .

All you have to do is ask...70 % to 80 % of the time just the cashier will do it without any issues .

20 % - 30 % of the time the cashier will call for a supervisor who will also generally do it without putting up a fight if its legitimate...if you have any issues always ask for a STORE MANAGER not a supervisor , or assistant manager or anyone else but the SM directly & they will do it for you .

Trust me 90 % of the time you will get the SCOP without any hassle either from the cashier or the supervisor if you just ASK for it & point to the SCOP sign on the till ...only 10 % of the time you will have to fight for it
