I have spent most of the weekend crying/balling my eyes out thinking about my brother and well life as a whole. Been doing alot of praying and asking for things to get better. My mom told him today that when he sees his shrink on Tuesday to ask what else can be done or where else he can live because there is nothing left for him at my parents and they cannot seem to help him anymore. I do not know if he doesn't want the help or what it is now but it scares me.
I am the youngest of 4 kids in total and well I am really young...my sister closest in my age is 13 yrs older so the fear is creeping up on me that everyone is going to die in this family before me and I am not sure I can handle all of that. I feel like I will be supporting everyone and be responsible for everyone when my parents die. It should be my brother but now with him sick mentally I am not sure anything will be the same. My other brother has his own issues and well my sister is amazing but has her family too. I don't know why I am thinking so far ahead, but it scares the crap out of me because how are we going to handle my brother being admitted? This stuff is not supposed to happen. Venting over. I am so depressed this is going on and I have not told anyone in my life outside of my family because people in the community talk way too much and we do not need to start that headache for my parents sake

hang in there amy. wait til he talks to his psych. in the meantime you might want to talk to a health prof as well to get something to keep your spirits up. this is taking one helluva toll on you as well. *hugs*

Take things one day at a time. You can't let yourself worry about the distant future right now. I know from experience that that is easier said than done, but it is important for you to focus on the present right now. (This is the QUEEN of the worriers speaking!) When you're having to deal with something as difficult as your brother's situation, it makes everything else seem worse. Seriously, speak with your dr. about what you're going through. He/she may prescribe some meds that will help you feel better. Remember, we're here for you and will "listen" anytime. Take care. I'll be thinking about you.
