I have spent most of the weekend crying/balling my eyes out thinking about my brother and well life as a whole. Been doing alot of praying and asking for things to get better. My mom told him today that when he sees his shrink on Tuesday to ask what else can be done or where else he can live because there is nothing left for him at my parents and they cannot seem to help him anymore. I do not know if he doesn't want the help or what it is now but it scares me.
I am the youngest of 4 kids in total and well I am really young...my sister closest in my age is 13 yrs older so the fear is creeping up on me that everyone is going to die in this family before me and I am not sure I can handle all of that. I feel like I will be supporting everyone and be responsible for everyone when my parents die. It should be my brother but now with him sick mentally I am not sure anything will be the same. My other brother has his own issues and well my sister is amazing but has her family too. I don't know why I am thinking so far ahead, but it scares the crap out of me because how are we going to handle my brother being admitted? This stuff is not supposed to happen. Venting over. I am so depressed this is going on and I have not told anyone in my life outside of my family because people in the community talk way too much and we do not need to start that headache for my parents sake

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you.

I'm an only child, the only family I have is my parents in their 70s & right now they have the energy to come & help me out once a week (I have health & mobility issues), but who knows for how long. I have distant cousins that I'm not that close to in the city, but no one else nearby (I can't really rely on family in Europe I've only met a dozen or so times). I do have lots of very close friends & 1 in particular whose family has "adopted" me & have promised to take care of me should I be left alone.

Just know that you don't have to bear the burden yourself. You have more family & friends willing to help than you realize. & you've got a whole whack of SCers here willing to listen.

I will have to catch up on the posts tomorrow and reply to pm's and stuff then too. We had a big emergency tonight and I have been at the er with jake all evening. He is asthmatic, and he caught a respiratory virus. I took him to the doctor the other day and she (regular doctor was overbooked) refused to give him breathing treatment medication. He came home from daniels tonight and had a major asthma attack. I thought he never get his breath back. Then he had another one. Wo we rushed to the er. He had stopped breathing once when he was a baby. They gave him an iv and a breathing treatment and he is alot better now. I will talk to ya all in the morning. HUGS and have a good night.

Take care of yourself and as many have suggested you should also speak to your doctor and let him know the emotions you are having - might consider giving you something even for at night to let you have a nice, peaceful sleep and know that all your friends/family are here for you

I am calling the doctor and complaining. They may banned me from there but who cares. I was so pizzed when she refused to give him the meds. From now on I am gonna demand he see his regular doc when it could effect his asthma. I still dont get why she did it, but I may know in awhile lol. I can beotch with the best of them.
