Kaela I love that tree its pretty. I gotta tell a joke I recieved in email its too funny not to.
When the husband finally died his wife put the usual death notice in the
paper, but added that he died of gonorrhea. No sooner were the papers
delivered when a friend of the family phoned and complained bitterly, "You
know very well that he died of diarrhea, not gonorrhea."
Replied the widow, "I nursed him night and day so of course I know he died
of diarrhea, but I thought it would be better for posterity to remember him
as a great lover rather than the big sheet he always was."
guess I will be expecting the coal candy. lmao

NEWSNAKE here is one for you:
An elderly couple were on a cruise and it was really stormy. They were
standing on the back of the boat watching the moon, when a wave came up and
washed the ol d woman overboard. They searched for days and couldn't find
her, so the captain sent the old man back to shore with the promise that he
would notify him as soon as they found something. Three weeks went by and
finally the old man got a fax from the boat. It read: "Sir, sorry to inform
you, we found your wife dead at the bottom of the ocean We hauled her up to
the deck and attached to her butt was an oyster and in it was a pearl worth
$50,000 . . please advise."
The old man faxed back: "Send me the pearl and re-bait the trap."

You're exactly right. He kept on with the 'well you' or 'but you' so I kept saying 'this isn't about me'. As for calling him on it, he got the ultimatum - get counselling or get out. At least your DH mulled it over, mine wouldn't because that would mean I MAY be right and he DOES need counselling. He's convinced himself that he doesn't and nothing will change that.
Yesterday afternoon I was informed that my contract with the daycare agency that I work for is terminated effective immediately. I didn't even know that was their plan until one of the parents called me asking what was going on. The agency had someone come over (I know her) and stay at my house until the last child was picked up. She was crying because she knows none of it is my fault but I'm the one paying the price. DH (dickhead) DID say he was sorry for causing all of this but I don't believe that he's sincere because I still have yet to hear 'I do have issues I need to deal with'.
But, the bright side is that the agency is well aware that this isn't my fault so this morning I went into one of the centres and filled out the paperwork, did the orientation and got the general information on what my job will be for the next few months. They know my concern is that I don't want DS home alone with dickhead (for now anyway) so I'll only be working during school hours.
I rarely buy clothes for myself so tonight I have to head to VV and find some casual shirts and tops. For the past 4 years I've been wearing t-shirts, track pants, hospital scrubs - crap clothes because by the end of the day I'd either end up with baby puke, snot, food or dirt all over me so why ruin good clothes? Now isn't THAT a pretty picture!!!
As much as I despise dickhead for putting me in this situation, I'm glad I'm getting out more and away from him. I've had my fill of home daycare so it's time for a change. I DO see the silver lining which is a good thing.

You need a certain amount of credits (acting gigs) before you can join ACTRA. From what my actor friends tell me, there's good & bad about being in ACTRA. You get better paying jobs, on the other hand there are more non-union jobs available (sometimes for the same pay).
Have you checked out this site - sometimes there are jobs available on here:
http://mandy.com/
As for headshots, see if you can find a photography workshop/class nearby. Sometimes students need a "project" - good way to get free/cheap shots.
Break a leg!

yep mandy was where i got that one listing from!
and thats what it was credits to join ACTRA i think i only have one credit towards actra
plus if you join a union you arent allowed to do local stuff or non paid
equity is what i have more towards i think but its different to get in thats the one for theatre there are tons of ways to get in that oneLast edited by roseofblack25; Tue, Nov 25th, 2008 at 03:57 PM.
