Why can't there be a way on Facebook to have nicknames too so we can all put our nicks from SC on there. I am sooo confused

I'm lucky I haven't gotten confused yet. I know the real names and screen names of people here.

There was someone else I was going to add on Facebook. I believe she's a member of SC. A lot of you guys are friends with her. I'm not sure what her screen name is here, though. Her name is Crystal. Does that ring a bell with anyone?

Thanks chicka My husband FINALLY clued in this afternoon after I picked him up from work! He FINALLY went and got the shovel and shovelled with it and then put some big salt on the ground to melt the ice I slipped on earlier! Ain't he sweet????

Now does anyone know of reacting to vitamin e cream, was told we could start using it, we put it on, and when she got up the one side of hr face is bright red, covered in bumps and swollen...washed her off and waiting to see if it gets worse then go to hospital, but was just wondering if anyone thinks it could be the cream

The Vit E cream has other ingredients, so chances are she's reacting to the stuff that makes up the cream part.

I'd forget the cream, it didn't work for me or a few others I know who tried it. Stick with the capsules. The last time I bought some (a long while ago), I paid I think $5 for a container of 50 capsules. Take a capsule & use a pin to prick a tiny hole in it, squeeze out the oil directly on the scar tissue (I used 1 capsule for a 4 inch scar - did it morning & night for 3 weeks & ended up with a barely visible line - we're talking deep incision starting at my belly button going south to clear up the remnants of my burst appendix).

In case she is reacting to the Vit E, test a bit on her finger - hives on face are scary. Also, you might want to give her an antihystamine to calm down the reaction (benadryl, reactine, etc).

now i have a birthday story for everyone.

Years ago, when i was in grade school, the elderly lady across the street that had no children of her own, would bake me the most fabulous birthday cake ever. there were tons of other children on the street but i was the only one she would do this for.

the cake part itself had the most delicious flavor, the icing was offwhite, and creamy and delicious. she decorated it fancy even adding those silver balls. inside this wonderful concocotion i would find money wrapped in waxed paper.

after we moved, boy did i miss those cakes. nothing mom ever made, or bought from a store, or bakery ever tasted like these. you know how some memories are so STRONG. (like your first taste of pizza, coke or a teenburger???). kinda like that. stuck with me for years.

So one day, i was making a cake for blair, from a recipe my grandmother owned, from a 1917 american cookbook. After i made it, WASN'T THE CAKE PART EXACTLY THE SAME ! omg, i was FLOORED. took me 20 years to taste this cake again. My icing was not the same, i have NEVER been able to duplicate her icing. but blair loves "white mountain frosting" so i'm right now have the cake made, the cream filling is cooling in the fridge. i now have to find the energy to spend a good 30 mins making the white mt frosting.

anyway, the secret ingredient in the cake..was ALMOND flavoring. and the texture is dryer, like a poundcake. anyone wants the recipe, pm me
gotta remember to take a pic. oh, this recipe is cooked in a bunt pan, but the lil ol lady did a regular tall round cake.

I picked mine up at Walmart, & I've seen it at Shoppers. Not sure about grocery stores, though I think Loblaws carries it.
