ughhh this is complete BS i need a better cell or a plan or something
need messenger on my phone its what i would more then likely use instead of calling people but its $7 a month for unlimited internet access then $3 a month to use messenger grrr would be better if it was only $3 for messenger then i would be happy LOL
am on pay as you go cause i really dont use it at all so put $100 a year on it and am good have only used $9 in two months so the msn thing is sucking big timewonder if i can find one that doesnt charge as much for access or a plan that would be cheaper *sigh*
*edited to add* apparently its pretty much the same across the board so dont need to change providers LOL guess I do without msn they sure do know how to rip people offLast edited by roseofblack25; Fri, Feb 13th, 2009 at 05:18 PM.

I don't know if anybody besides me & NS been on ps today, they gave a glitch in it so it keeps messing up. You post stuff in the forums & it disappears. It's suppose to be fixed tomorrow, so I'm not going back until then. So be careful!!!!

Amy if she's losing blood i'd guess the body is shunting the blood away from the extremities and keeping her major organs going. Which is causing the black fingers. Am so sorry not thinking so well today may have something to do with the kidney failure as well. Hugs am sorry this has happened to your friends mother will prayer for her and all of you who care about her.

LOLCAT or anyone else can you explain what all this means:
the nephrologist thinks it is some rare something that caused an autoimmune reaction that shut down her kidneys. if only it were cancer! we would know what to do! but it doesn't look like it b/c there is no blockage (i.e. no tumour or growth that they can detect so far, but a biopsy will give more precise results on tuesday/wednesday). in the meantime, the search is on for whatever caused the autoimmune reaction. sharon -- can you interpret any of this? details are fuzzy, but they say her kidney count is 700, where in a normal person it is 70. she has black fingertips and darkened extremities. swollen face and body. bloody pee. very little pee. blood pressure fluctuates between 160/120 to 220/150 all the time. kidney functioning is less than 10% for sure. she will likely be put on long term dialysis as the search continues for what it is that went wrong. at least 3 times a week. they will put a hole by her neck for the later dialysis. today they put one near her groin. they say the autoimmune thing is worse than cancer.
By the way she has/had cancer in the bladder

Hi all, don't have much time, but I at least needed to answer Amy. It is really upsetting when you don't know what to hope for, or even what you are fighting against.
I had it with Winter (1st) only till around week 13.. then with my first miscarriage till week 15 or 16... Monet was 15 or 16 too... but with the twins it lasted longer. This time I think it will stick around longer too, since I am already week 12 and still feeling bad. Most women I know say that it lasted longer with each pregnancy
I hope yours isn't too bad tonight. I think of you a lot
Amy -- let me try and tackle it a symptom at a time. The bad pressure and lack of circulation in her extremeties (which causes the blackening) are a very bad sign, one that means that her major organs are fighting a battle which requires them to shunt more of her blood to the organs themselves. It CAN resolve itself, but even if they figure it out soon, she will likely face amputation. The swelling is probably a result of this as well, along with the renal failure.
The autoimmune thing.. just in case it confuses you at all (forgive me if this sounds pat) when they say that, what they are saying is that something in her body is causing her own body to attack her kidneys and their tissues as if they were a foreign body. This IS very bad. Definately worse than cancer, as if they cannot find the source for it, her own body will completely destroy her kidneys. Her bladder is still compromised (very severely if the cancer was recent or still exists) from the cancer, and the death of the kidneys will harm the bladder as well.
Not surprising that she isn't passing urine well, with all that is going on in there. I don't suppose she has lupus? That would be too obvious I guess.
Either way, it does sound quite bad. I will ask a friend of mine if she knows anything more than what I've said. I will just pray that they figure out the autoimmune thing quickly, before the damage is much worse.

I watched the orignal CSI faithfully. Then Supernatural was moved into the same time slot as CSI. So I stopped watching CSI.
I loved Grissom. I watch CSI Miami every Monday. I love it. I've watched a couple episodes of CSI New York. I don't know why I haven't been following that on a regular basis. It's really good and there are a couple of cute guys in it.

Oh, Amy, I am so so sorry. Sending prayers.
Don't know about the black fingertips & extremities or the autoimmune disease, but I do know a bit about kidney failure (was on dialysis for 2 yrs).
The kidney count refers to creatins. Normal is between 70 & 110. They start to worry if it hits 120, put you on dialysis if you hit 250-300, depending on symptoms sometimes sooner. 700 is not good, although if they can get the autoimmune issue under control, they might be able to get the kidneys working again since it was a sudden failure. The swelling is characteristic of the kidneys not working. That is what is causing the blood pressure to go through the roof. Dialysis will help with this. What dialysis does is remove the blood in your body, "clean" it, & put it back in. In addition, excess fluid is removed from your body during the process, although you can only remove a certain amount, otherwise your body can react badly. Usually patients are on dialysis 3 x a week, 4 hrs each time. When it's acute like this, it's more likely to be a shorter time, but every day, since they have to get the fluids out. The hole in her neck likely refers to a "line" - sort of like a semi-permanent IV just be her collarbone - which is how dialysis will be performed (blood flowing back & forth through the line).
You're a good friend to help out. Will keep you in my prayers too.
