Kate looks SO happy!

I know! Isn't it strange that not knowing this couple I sat and watched the ceremony today and all I could think while they were exchanging their vows was, "wow, they look so in love" it was so beautiful to watch. I'm so glad I didn't miss the wedding and it was so nice to share it with my Mother as we watched it together this morning.

Grandpa just wolfed down all my English treats for the WHOLE family!!!!

Sorry for you all but at least he has a healthy appetite!

I heard on the radio that Kate did her own makeup for the wedding. She insisted on doing her own makeup so she took lessons from a makeup artist so that she wouldn't have people "fussing" over her on the day of her wedding. I find her classy and elegant as well as grounded and when I hear her compared to Diana I must agree, but Kate seems more content with everything than Diana ever did and just more peaceful ya know?

Tara, very true about the feeling about the wedding, I totally felt their vibe!

I read, too, that she did her own makeup.
I think the difference between her and Diana is that Kate is so much older, and she's been with William a very long time - they've had time on their side to develop a deep relationship, and really made sure a lot of things for the wedding were what they wanted (of course so much had to be dictated by protocol/tradition).

The hats are a very British thing - I love the fascinators with the flowers/feathers. Not so much those mini hats on the side of the head.

I LOVEEEEE fascinators! I must have lots of british blood in me because I even love the weird ones haha!

I'm gonna guess because of his connection with Diana and that whole candle in the wind thing. He was an honored guest because I guess they had a great relationship or something.

My DD did not appreciate the pink hat Princess Beatrice wore.

She said "it looks like a set of reindeer antlers on her head. All she needs is a red nose like Rudolph and she's good to go."

I just about choked to death on the coffee I was drinking at the time from stifling the laughter and I'm pretty sure some coffee came out my nose
