I am so thankful that my grandson who is 16 years old did not get hurt badly today in Hockey Practice. He was hit from behind by one of his own team mates and suffered a concussion. Had a Cat Scan done and everything looks okay but he will not be doing anything for the next week to make sure.

Thankful that we can spend this Thanksgiving Weekend at the Cabin and enjoy the families that come together here. Thankful for the partridge that flew into the window yesterday didn't break it and now we can have some traditional wild bird for our meal as well.

I'm thankful for having been able to vote yesterday in our provincial election. Every time I get irritated or depressed about stuff going on in my life, I remember that I live in the greatest democracy on the planet, and that there are untold millions who don't have the opportunity to elect their leaders.
It doesn't even matter to me if my preferred representative gets elected (although in my riding it so happens, this time, that they did); I'm just grateful that I can go to the polls and cast a ballot without being concerned about being intimidated, coerced, or worse, or worried about electoral irregularities that would render the whole process useless (like the ballot stuffing one hears about in other countries).
My great-grandfather always said to us: "I don't care what party you vote for, or even if you spoil your ballot. But you go exercise your right to vote: I saw too many men die during the war protecting that right for you for you to stay home on election day."
He was a very smart man.

I'm thankful that I got an X-ray done the same day it was requisitioned.
Hopefully something can be done for me.

I am thankful for all the kind people on SC that have traded with me and done a RAOK so that I am able to fulfill all 115 hampers for this Christmas, and have extras for a donation to the Aventa House.

Thankful to be alive, in good health and blessed with lots of family, love, and laughter!
oh yeah--and the awesome summer-like temperatures drifting across Ontario these past few days. It's so beautiful that I could burst!"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

I think daily of the things for which I am thankful, but I suppose today the list seems longer, but I won't go into them all.
Family first - my loving husband and my amazing son; my siblings and their families.
My SC family - you are here daily, through thick and thin
All my senses and emotions - because they make my life diverse.

thankful for all the amazing doctors and nurses out there! We were able to have a great dinner with all the family. We took the turkey and ALL the trimmings, dishes, and cutlery to the hospital so we could include dad who has been there for a few weeks now. It was a little different, but still a great day!
