I'm thankful for generous people who give away items! We do, too, when we can!
Story of Kijiji freebies - my son contacted someone about a free shelving unit, the guy responded asking my son's dad's name (son's name is unusual, it's in his email address). When he responded, it turns out it was my second cousin - lives in the same city, we barely see him... So when my son went over to pick up the unit, turns out it's a fancy entertainment centre so son is very happy that will be going in his ManCave.
They chitchat and my cousin asks him if we would like a tv, he was getting a new one yesterday. Son says yes, we've been looking for one. (Son had gotten a 32" free from Kijiji last year.) We have a 20" tube tv in the living room...
Not for long - we'll be putting in a 36" flatscreen this weekend!
Plus my cousin gave a pile of his latest CDs for us, and to give out to friends.
--------------------
I've also been VERY thankful to have SC and my 'puter friends on here, especially over these last few weeks when I've been so sick.

It's really a small world isn't it
I'm thankful to be able to be down here in the warm weather in Florida. Especially when I read of all the bone chilling temperatures back home in Canada. We all need a little sunshine every now and then

I'm thankful that doing something like googling images can bring back childhood memories I've forgotten...
I used to take my dolly and stuffed animals for rides in our sleigh, too... (not my pic)

I remember I used to dress up my cat in my doll clothes, put him in my doll carriage and push him around, LOL! He was some cat, never fussed, or tried to jump out. We would feed him milk in a baby bottle, and he would drink it. Yes, those were the simpler old days for sure.

thankful i wasn't robbed or worst yet murdered early this morning at 645am.... it was still very dark outside and raininig
on my way to the early shift, while this tall thug in a hoodie approaches me
i looked straight at him and he looks as if he was gonna say something but hesitated
i walked as fast i could with heart-beating
On a side note..... the women who was bludgeoned to death while walking home from her shift at 7am
last month, has never been caught! hence the extra pre-caution and nervousness.

^ hehe. Well in stark contradiction to the poster above, I am thankful for the rain and the 12C today.
I would like a white Christmas too--I would just like it to come on Dec 23rd and leave by Dec. 26th."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

VERY thankful for Matt today (and everyday really). I grabbed a pan that had been in the oven last night on 425 and burnt the holy heck out of seven of my fingers. They are badly blistered and very sore so today he is taking good care of me and doing everything. On the other hand, typing with pinkies is really hard. :D

Oh, Sue, you poor kid!!! The things we do without thinking...or thinking about everything else other than the fact that we're pulling hot pans out of the oven! I've done it myself.
And, having met Matt.....I know you're in good, loving care.......and I hope your fingers heal quickly...gosh, what a thing to go through!!
