So grateful and thankful that i got a promotion. Totally did not expect it but very grateful for the higher position, better pay (which i desperately needed) and an office with a window view of the outdoors. God works in mysterious ways...thank you to the Lord almighty for prayers being answered

That I am finally getting in to see my vascular surgeon on May 2nd. I am in a LOT of pain and we are looking into me having another surgery in hopes that it will help. :/ I am happy that I am in Canada and get the privilege of our medical care. We will just have to wait and see. We have a 7 month old baby boy (who is teething) which makes this all the more complicated and difficult.

I love what Angela273 said. Right on about living in Canada. We have so many things that we take for granted. Our medical care is exceptional (IMHO).

That I was not reliant on that $10 GC I got from filling my prescription at the Superstore and I could give it to the homeless man asking for change at the corner outside. Serves him better than it would serve me.

The beauty & wonders of nature. I was out on a long drive today and came across a Mennonite family selling maple syrup on the side of the road so I turned around and went back. It is the purest of Maple Syrup and delicious!! Fresh, fresh fresh!! $10.00 for 500 ml...I bought LOTS. French toast for breakfast tomorrow!

I am thankful I got the job!!! Starting a new job on Monday, only minutes from home (compared to the 35 minute drive each way that I had before). Very happy and excited to try this new venture.

I am thankful that I have a loving husband who is actively involved in raising our 7 month old son.

We made the decision years ago that my dh would leave the oilfield and get a "family friendly" job when we decide to start our family. DH has been working for Purolator for just over a year now and still loves it. It came with quite a pay cut, but it also has its perks (home for supper most nights, always has Saturday and Sunday off work, unionized, medical coverage even though I have pre-existing conditions, good raises over time, retirement option at 15yrs of service, etc).

I am thankful I am losing some weight where I need to (around the middle). I dont weigh myself, but my clothes tell me that I am getting smaller around my belly!!!
