Being a whole foot shorter than DH and our boys so that I get frequent top-of-the-head kisses .

Thankful that today is National Cake Day!!

So today is National Cake Day & an excuse for another verse,
Do you know I heard cake consumption causes calories to disperse?
Have you ever met someone who takes the cake & has a swarmy reputation
& wasn’t it Marie Antoinette who advised cake consumption to an entire nation?
We have layer cakes of chocolate, vanilla & strawberry,
Carrot Cakes & Spice Cakes, even cakes that contain a dash of sherry,
I happen to like fruitcake & I even know a few of them!
& if you bake a sour cherry cake, please remove the stem,
Gingerbread Cake & Lemon Cake are fabulous & fine,
& Spice Cake that's just spicy enough to make your life sublime,
Any kind of Cheesecake is tops & without being overly cheesy?
& I have a great recipe for Banana Cake & making it is easy!
These days cupcakes are the rage & they're made with such artistry,
Who doesn't love a cupcake when it is served with a cup of tea?
Forget the memories of McArthur Park & get into the kitchen'
Get your ingredients ready & do some fancy mixin'
The judges table is all set up for us out in the front yard,
& please don't worry about over-sampling, I've hired a security guard.

Walking in the first snow of the season, hearing and feeling my feet crunch while wrecking my back by doing so.

Thankful that a friend came through out of the blue with $85.00 she owed to me. I wasn't expecting it back ever!!!
It will make a difference in my budget I can tell you!!

I am very thankful my husband will go shopping when necessary, such as last night when I was unable to.
He doesn't like doing it, and doesn't refuse or complain, and he does the best he can!

1)The dining table I wanted to get rid of is gone (someone promised to take it over a month now but finally took it yesterday)

2)I was able to negotiate a good deal to get the house painted.

3) My 2nd heart on SC

i finally broke down and bought myself a new winter coat
had my old one for almost 20 years and counting
i even got $5.00 off
and it was the last coat on the rack
my size
so i felt it was mean't to be.
