    Very thankful to still have my parents, despite their poor health. I hope (and plan) to make the cross-country trip to spend next Christmas with them. It's hard being so far away during the holidays.

    During my 3 days of sinus head cold (am drier now but entering the coughing stage), I was grateful for 2ply quilted bathroom tissue paper for the waterworks when I had to take to bed to cope with sinus pressure/weeping eyes (cue analogies to hoses that spring leaks). Also that the items I bought during a November Shoppers Optimum points event were on hand to deal with my cold-liquid hand soap, pocket tissues, hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol to wipe off door knobs and other surfaces.

    Extra gratitude that yesterday I able to rehydrate somewhat easily with club soda and root beer (half and half, as I was not liking citrus flavours much). Wished I had Gatorade but that is a future item to stock up on.
