    I'm thankful to be home after my ambulance ride and emergency appendectomy on Monday. I am thankful that my husband and younger sister were able to be my advocates at the hospital part of the time. I am thankful that my appendix didn't burst before it was removed. I am hopeful that I will see improvements in this long road to recovery.

    Very thankful that our son's surgery went well Thursday, and that he seems to be handling the start of recovery well; it's going to be a lot for him to deal with, but he's got a great mind set about it all.

    So very grateful to live in Canada, for so, so many reasons.

    Very thankful my grandparents chose Canada to emigrate to.
    Also totally thankful that many decades later my future husband emigrated here as well.
