So this should be a happy time right? We bought our first house and are do to move in this Saturday. We have had the keys from Friday, and my hubby wanted to do some upgrades to the house before we moved and well we spent lots of money on new floors, we got the paint, had new carpet put in, oh and tomorrow the appliance are coming. But right now he is over there finding out how a fire started in the backyard now I don't know if its gotten to the house as they wouldn't say anything on the phone to us so I am now waiting to hear form him. It just sucks cause for once everything was working out the right way for us things were good and now this.

well from what the hubby just told me it has gotten to the house, and from what he can see from the car its bad. Now I get to wait for the insurance to call me. Oh and the cops say there are one too many unanswered questions, as to how and why it started.

Well we are waiting to here for the insurance, they went there last night to board up some windows that broke from the firefighters water, and a door. So all the floors we put in are now damaged also and from what they let my hubby see the back of the house doesn't look good all the siding is gone, but he doesn't know how bad it is cause it was dark out and couldn't really see it all that well. So today I will be going to look at it. We haven't told the kids yet and don't plan on it

Ok, So after talking to the fire department I found out that they don't know what started the fire so they are saying it was accidental fire. So our insurance(co-op) guy was there looked everything over took pics and said that they will be replacing all 5 windows in the back and the siding around the house all the way. Plus they will do the insulation on the back of the house and they are going to replace the floor that my hubby put in that has water damage. Also they are going to pay for one month of rent, and our landlord has said we could stay. So thats all I have right now, I am just happy that we weren't in the house when it happened.
