OMG !! What wind were getting here in Newfoundland last 2 days ..trees blowing down snow blowing around and lost power few times yesterday and once today ..that windy you cant stand on your 2 legs ..i never seen it so windy in my life time .150 kph wind .

City gets first significant snowfall of the season

The first major snowfall of the season caused major headaches last night. Up to 10 cm fell, depending on where you are and while it came down, emergency crews and tow trucks were dealing with numerous crashes and spinouts. As for this morning, Environment Canada's winter weather travel advisory has been called off but highways for the most part are wet and slushy. You may notice the roads being a bit lighter than usual this morning as several school boards are off today. All Halton District and Halton Catholic District schools are open but transportation services on and north of Steeles Avenue are cancelled for the day in Zone 3.

Santa Claus is coming to town

It’s already that time of year again -- the snow will serve as a picturesque backdrop for the Santa Claus parade Sunday. There will be some road closures in effect for most of the day, including a stretch of Bloor, Yonge and Front.

Kasperi Kapanen scored his second goal of the game with Toronto short-handed and the Maple Leafs won for the fifth time in six games, beating the San Jose Sharks 5-3 on Thursday night.

Now that there is snow on the ground, the initial shock is gone. Things a brighter at night now. Yes, I am fine with the snow for now. It can go away after Christmas.
