Okay, here we go again. The Germans will be dropping a satellite on us sometime tonight. Maybe. Anyway, check out this site:
http://www.n2yo.com
You can follow the position of any satellite by using the various tools on the site. For tonight's surprise, look for ROSAT. They have a list of most tracked satellites and right now ROSAT is the one. Middle of the South Atlantic right now, way off the coast of Namibia.
Don't panic.

Nancy Pelosi called Harry Reid into her office one day and said, "Harry, I have a plan to win back Middle America in 2012!"
"Great, Nancy, but how?" asked Harry.
"We'll get some cheesy clothes and shoes, like most middle Americans wear, then stop at the pound and pick up a Labrador Retriever. Then, we'll go to a nice old country bar in Montana and show them how much admiration and respect we have for the hard working people living there."
So they did, and found just the place they were looking for in Bozeman, Montana
With the dog in tow, they walked inside and stepped up to the bar. The Bartender took a step back and said, "Hey! Aren't you Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi?" "Yes we are!" said Nancy, "And what a lovely town you have here. We were passing through and Harry suggested we stop and take in some local color."
They ordered a round of bourbon for the whole bar, and started chatting up a storm with anyone who would listen.
A few minutes later, a grizzled old farmer came in, walked up to the Labrador, lifted up its tail, looked underneath, shrugged his shoulders and walked out. A few moments later, in came another old farmer. He walked up to the dog, lifted up its tail, looked underneath, scratched his head and left the bar. For the next hour, another dozen farmers came in, lifted the dog's tail, and left shaking their heads.
Finally, Nancy asked, "Why did all those old farmers come in and look under the dog's tail? Is it some sort of custom?"
"Lord no," said the bartender. "Someone's out there running around town, claiming there's a Labrador Retriever in here with two assholes!"

Good evening everyone.
I appreciate all the reps, trivia and CT.
It seems all I want to do is sleep and no matter how much
I sleep I seem to need more.
Devo is still upstairs. She isn't spitting or hissing at me anymore, though
making a high pitched cat noise that other cat owners would know. She still
seems to like my husband and was in his office and in his window.
I am sure she will come around in the next day or so. I will take a pic when she
lets me see her face...

Hi All! Hope you've all been enjoying your Caturday! Exciting news about Percy and Devo eh?
Mmmme: They say it really helps if you introduce cats slowly and let them smell each other out through closed doors etc. so it's not such a shock. If you let Devo stay on his own for a few days like that it might help. I'm sure Lucky is pretty shocked to have a new pud in "his" home and Devo is shocked to be in a new home, but they will probably get along or at least tolerate each other after a while. I wish cats liked each other at first more often, they make it hard to bring another into the fold!
My Amy has been sneezing quite bit since last night, I'm hoping I didn't bring it back from the Humane Society. I put a hot water bottle under her blanket in one of her little beds and both her and Daisy are curled up in there! No, I would never spoil my puddy cats!!!

Thanks for the feeddback ecat.
We were trying to recall when Lucky came to live with us.
He was about 9 or 10, and Sammie was easy going. I do not recall there being any problem.
I am not forcing them together... as I am sure it will happen on its own.
Devo has been rolling around on her back up stairs ans the fact she ate, mean to me
she is coming around. She is not used to a large place s=as she came from an apartment.
My daughter just came down from upstairs and she said Devo was rolling around on her back up there..... I will keep you posted.
I do hope your Amy will be fine!

i see it really is caturday here,
i brought jessie in from outside last november, kept her in her
own bedroom for weeks, (was a hard time to get to the vets).
crazy maddy would beat on the door to get to her, and if she did
get in scaried jessie a lot.
once jessie was out in the rest of the house, maddy was
very mean to her - chasing her out of her own litter box.
last time i was in chicagoland, jessie was outside for 4 days,
as (wait for it), my dad's gf left the screen door open in the
diningroom because it was hot - when they are doing the cat
watching duties their bedroom is downstairs at the other end
of the house. apparently if jessie tried to come in maddy
would chase her away.
i swear my blood pressure is going up just typing this part.
however now they are best friends, sleep on my bed together,
jessie follows maddy around, eats when she does etc.
they are too cute.
going back to chicagoland on tuesday, trying to be optimistic
that all goes well.
anyway point is sometimes cats take a long time to get along,
or never do. lilly the oldest kitty is only friends with me -
hisses at maddy and mostly ignores jessie.
wishing you good luck, mmmme

a special one for psells
BERLIN - German space officials now say pieces of a defunct satellite are expected to fall to Earth sometime within the next several hours.
The German Aerospace Center says pieces of the scientific research satellite are expected to hit sometime Sunday morning, European time -- by around 1 a.m., Eastern time.
Most parts of the satellite, which is about the size of a minivan, are expected to burn up during re-entry.
But up to 30 fragments weighing a total of 1.8 tons could crash into Earth at speeds of up to 280 miles an hour. The satellite orbits every 90 minutes, and it could hit anywhere a long a wide path.
The area that could be hit includes much of the planet outside the poles.
But a spokesman for the German agency says officials don't expect it to hit Europe. Last month, a dead NASA satellite fell into the southern Pacific Ocean, causing no damage.
i'm ducking anyway
