Evening all, just thought I'd pop by to share the good news. I landed a job today. Got the word this afternoon, and they want me to start Monday morning. So now tomorrow I have to go car shopping.

Good Snowy Morn and Happy Caturday All!

Well for those who love the snow you got it (probably won't last long though) and for people like me who want the sun I'll be getting it!!! So far the plane is on time, leaves at 3 p.m. so I hope it stays that way! Hate missing any precious time when you start a vacation! Once going to Cuba the plane took off on time, was in the air for about 10 minutes and turned around and came back. Everyone had to sit in the plane when it landed while they kept saying the problem was being handled, once it was a few hours later we had to wait for a pilot to come from Kingston, then someone had a heart attack all in all we were on the ground for about 6 hours, some of the toddlers did well for a while but the screaming started at some point. Was glad I brought stuff to read and eat............flight from hell!!!! That company has since gone under (I wonder why??) Shouldn't be thinking about things like that right now!

Once going to Cuba the plane took off on time, was in the air for about 10 minutes and turned around and came back.

Similar thing happened to us in Trinidad in '89. Took of from Port of Spain, got about halfway to Barbados, turned around and came back. There was a problem with cabin pressure, and although they could have made the Barbados leg, they would not have been able to reach cruising altitude to Toronto after that. So we sat on the tarmac for a couple of hours, they fed us in our seats, then kicked us off. The flight was rescheduled for the next day, they put us up in the Holiday Inn, then back to the airport to hang around and around until the plane was properly fixed. At one point, we watched the crew get on, thinking we were about to get started, then watched as the plane taxied out, took off without us and landed again about 25 minutes later. A test flight to check the pressure. We got going maybe an hour after that. The good part? My uncle-in-law (retired airport official dude) had had us upgraded to first class, so all of the sitting around was in comfy chairs and nice lounges with lots of west indian food and beverages. BWIA, now Carribean Airlines, is right up there with KLM in my books, a notch below Emirates and Etihad for service.

i am so proud of myself, i advanced 1 point more in technology, it only took my several hours. i have wireless and i have to shut it off when i am done because i live in a high rise, my warning yesterday was that i used up my 60 gb dont know how much it is but i do know its alot more than used here. so i spent the morning trying to figure out how to get it secure to the pc and laptop,
