Good Afternoon- our power came on around 5:30 and stayed on this time. we grabbed some dinner and ate it at the office and watched the Leafs win on the internet till the place warmed a bit. It was at 64 when we got in and up to temperature when we got up. Spent the morning gutting the fridge and doing a mountain on laundry which so far I have only seen the north face. Hope you all have a great weekend.
Rockit glad your problem was smaller than you thought.

I hope everyone is back to normal with their power restored.
We don't have hydro up north during the summer, but we do have solar power, propane and a generator (to run the power tools, microwave and toaster). The solar panels / batteries and propane run everything else. The year there was a blackout in August, we went up north and were living as if nothing happened.... I can't imagine what all of you went through without power in your homes for so long...
I feel a little guilty that we've had power when so many have been suffering and lives that have been so disrupted.... I've had such a busy few days between entertaining, shopping, cleaning up and packing.... Hubby and I are almost ready for our trip... A few more things to put together and I will literally be packing our suitcases on Wednesday and we'll be ready to go on Friday! Unfortunately, I need to w*rk Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but I guess that will make the next few days go faster!!!
I have "I am Malala" ready to read, but does anyone have any other suggestions for good reading material? I really like ready light stories when I'm on vacation, but I am Malala is supposed to be such an eye opener and a really good read....

evening q sters,
thought we were going to have a repeat of last saturday when i woke up this morning to find no power. thank goodness it was only 3 hours long this time. power went out around 5:30 am & came back on around 8:30am & has stayed on every since. it was nice day out, the weather being warm enough to start melting the 3" thick layer of ice on everything. 1 thing to watch out for is the icicles hanging off the roof.
i want to give a shout out to the people out there trimming trees & the hydro crews that are restoring power to everyone. hats off to you for giving up your holidays & leaving your families at Christmas time to get other families their power back. Bravo & Thank you.NASCAR SEASON is complete for 2021.
