my sister was in London today with my brother. she was able to get him up walking around a bit & wheelchaired him outside for a while. they even went to the cafe for some lunch. 1st solid food for him since friday. he doesn't enjoy food anymore, it has no taste. that sounds familiar. she was able to talk to the doctor & he confirmed that the thyroid is cancerous. what kind is still to be determined & we won't know till thursday now. she has a meeting set up with all the doctors, on friday, as to what course of treatment will be done & whether we can move him to Credit Valley. he will have to keep the tube in for life in order to breathe. the tumour is extremely large & has wrapped around the esophagus, which is why the tube, as well as the carotid artery. he is in stage 4, so whatever treatment they decide, it will be more for comfort, as there is no cure. we're all just taking this 1 day at a time. sometimes, life just sucks.

Good morning, everyone.

Lily dog and I were up early, braving the cold to go spy on the neighbours (or greet them, not sure which). Good thing I had Lily playing lap dog to keep me warm, it was chilly out there! I asked Quincy cat if he wanted to join us, and he seemed willing and even got dressed up in one of his coats, then changed his mind. I'll take him out later once the sun has warmed things up (I hope!) in his fall coat - don't think he needs a hood just yet.



Off to do a little more work around here, this taking it easy is starting to get on my nerves.

The stress test went as well as one could expect with legs so sore. They wanted me to get to at least 85% of the test for the best results, but with my left foot cramping I only got to 77%. They would not tell me anything and I have to wear the monitor till Friday. But what I could tell my heart rate topped out at 96 which I think is pretty good.But the rate is not the problem; it’s the tune it’s playing. Andit I can’t believe they wanted you to walk with Air cast’s on both legs. My first test 17 years would have had a lot different a result as the guy before me was taken out in a stretcher. Bet you it was playing Wipeout that day!
Loocie – got another vote in, but they are tied in first with 17% but are 6 votes behind.
Have heard the U2 album again and still like it and I’m not that big a fan.
