I am thankful that despite a bazillion hours of exam prepping and studying, just when I feel like I can take no more, DH and the company that hired me is there to provide ongoing encouragement to move forward and keep at it...I am thankful for the encouragement when I am getting a little overwhelmed...

After several months of our local paper not being delivered to our building, they are finally delivering again so I got all my flyers - they just aren't the same online
That and I am working from home tomorrow so I can stay up late watching the UK election results

I am thankful for 2 things; one, my dad is feeling better - he is still recuperating in hospital but we are hopeful he will be able to go home very soon (had 3 seizures on Monday due to diabetes (undiagnosed!!!!)). It was so rough seeing him sick like that in hospital (medicated so much he slept all of Monday and most of Tuesday) but he is improved so much since then, he is able to get around, eat, and speak with no difficulty. He just has to get his medication right before they let him go home, which to dad can't be soon enough!!!
I am also thankful the sinus infection I had is going away - thank you to my doctor for seeing me so quickly!!!The average dog
is nicer
than the average person.

To all you Smart Canuck Moms, its Mother’s Day greetings I’m sending,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
I hope your house is filled with helping hands willing for the lending,
In Loocie’s house this is not the case as the cooks are still in their beds,
The boys were beerin’ & hockeyin’ last night & may have achin’ heads,
I’ve been a Mom for 25 years & wonder how it went by so fast,
I’m reflecting on how the day to day stuff become memories from the past,
The cards they made, the cups of tea & breakfast served on a tray,
Coming down to the kitchen to be welcomed by a floral bouquet,
The little things your kids do for you remind you motherhood is a perk!
In spite of all the times beyond frustration & you were going berserk,
Many of us have lost our own Mom’s & reflect on what all they gave,
& now know they were on the money when they told us to behave,
If you’re a new Mom I can tell you that it is a pretty good gig indeed,
& just let your kids really believe that you’re not up to speed,
Once you’ve become a Mom your intuition switch is in the ON mode,
But all us Moms know that motherhood is a most rewarding road,
Happy Mother’s Day ladies enjoy your day, time for a motherly review,
& if they have forgotten what today is, then it’s the guilt trip for all of you!
