Dollarama ACCEPTS Coupons now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the thing we all wished but never thought would happen.

I went to Dollarama on my lunch break(BTW i live in windsor, ontario and this is the dollarama in the ming wahs plaza) and the lady i know who works there told me" i just have to tell that effect as of today dollarama now takes coupons!!!!"

i almost lost it lol. i mean i can't beleive it. she said no printables, just save.ca or manufacturer etc. Basically all except internet printed. They don't allow overages like walmart but i cant believe this. this completely made my day.

I used save $2 WUB 2 diff. DOVE products on a shampoo and bar soap!

No way! That's awesome, but.....does it mean that the prices are going up? Again.
Maybe your city is 'trying' this policy out since you are so close to the USA where extreme couponing is HOT.

Which location was this? In any case, would someone who's been successful in redeeming coupons at Dollarama please tell me how they do it? Is there a Vendor Coupon button or something? I still can't believe the dollar store accepts coupons...it's already so cheap to begin with!!!

Ughh I went to Tacoma Nova Scotia dollar store tonight ,i felt so silly asking if the dollar store takes coupons but everyone said they been using them there all day and they would NOT take my coupons ,no one seemed to have a clue and the girl said lastnight their was coupons at the end of the night but they don't know why.

I called the Dollarama in Thunder Bay first, they said yes so off I went. I was just testing it out to see how coupon friendly they are so I only bought 4 (2 different) Dove products and used the $2wub2 coupon. At the till I again checked first by saying "I heard you take coupons now?". The young guy at the til said "Yep, just started 3 days ago, I haven't done one yet though". So he rang in my order and I hand him the 2 coupons and he just punched in the discount. He didn't even read the coupon or anything, not even to check the expiry date! Yikes, I mean I like when there's no hassle but he'll have to be more careful then that in case someone hands him a coupon that they didn't check over first. But it was a great first coupon shop at Dollarama. And a side note, they have 1 liter of Coke on for .69 cents, great deal!

they are not dollarstore condoms-they are Playtex or whatever the brand name is-various kinds

took mine in today, they kept telling me they dont take them. i had printed off the email from dollarama that i got though adn they took them. just gave me the products and didnt ring em in cause they didnt know how. they asked me could they keep the copy of my email and i gladly gave it to them. so dollarama in the village mall in newfoundland takes coupons thanks to me. lol. got 2 free dove conditioners and a free st ives body lotion

It's weird that they are implementing this policy right away without making sure that store staff are informed and trained in how to deal with coupons. Don't they have to do something with the cash registers so that they can be entered properly?

My guess is it's a trial run to see if it's feasible for them, before they eventually increase their prices, as per the Globe article.
