Check drive thru windows and behind bags or around the coin insertion area at self checkouts......

I agree! Drive thru windows are a great place to find change. I found a $5.00 bill last time I went through the dirve thru!

I save every coin I find in the bottom of my washing machine. My family doesn't know that I have a container in my laundry room cupboard for my "treasure" and the coins are clean when I "find" them.

I was walking down the street once, and found $80 on the sidewalk.......and I was broke, it was 2 days til payday......that was a good day!

I think I am going to keep saving ... for a rainy day! A couple of months ago I had thought I would buy myself a cute piggy bank, but I want whatever it is to be super special and meaningful ... to remember how much joy each small piece of change brought no matter what the day held!

Thanks for all the comments - and helpful tips to find money! I know vending machines and gas station parking lots are also a great place to look when walking through ... it really is amazing how this adds up, and I'm glad others do this too (as well as returning carts for spare change, LOL!) ... those around me laugh, but I now I smile even more!

I pick up pennies, dimes etc if i see them....Someone told me if you find a penny & give it away then good luck comes to you!

♥ Someone once told me that the change you find on the ground is from angels letting you know that you are in the right place (or following the right path) ... this is something I often think of when I stop whatever I am doing and just focus on this one small task. It is really is a positive thought!

My kids always check the vending machines at our local pool and bowling hall....and they always score some change. Great post!

LOL great post! i like it! i'm trying to pick up every penny i see too, but sometimes i'm just too much in a hurry!

Slow down just a little and take time to smell the roses or in this case just bend down.

My 10 yr old daughter swipes her fingers in every pay phone, vending machine and newspaper box she passes and has been doing this since she was almost too little to reach them. I can't even tell you how much money she has scored.
She has a water bottle with a sign on it that says "Money I have found on the ground and other places."
She scans the ground and floor everywhere we go and almost always gets at least a penny that she didn't have before. :O)
