2 weeks ago I made Christmas OMGs.
Last week I made puffed wheat squares, haystack cookies (chocolate drop cookies, and 2 pans of apple crisp.
This week I baked 2 loaves of banana bread and one pan of very addictive chocolate chip oatmeal fruit pecan bars. I found and tinkered with this recipe in August. There is a reason that I hadn't baked any in a couple of minutes months...I eat too many of them. OMG they are so good.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

made some apple sauce and had a cinnamon stick in the pot while it cooked ,good way to finish off the extra large bag of apples and the cinnamon makes it even more yummy.

Havent baked anything this week. BUT last Sunday i made Lemon Tarts, then i made Blueberry Muffins and then i made 100% Bran Muffins (substituted molasses for honey and dates for raisins). And to finish it off i made my trusty comfort cake: my mom`s basic white cake recipe and this time i added a bit of cinnamon and then i covered it with red currants (frozen from last summer). We still have 3 bran muffins and 2 blueberry muffins in the freezer.

Granola bars. Good enough that I wanted seconds (but resisted) but not sure I'd use the same recipe again.

Well I have made this cake as mini-loaves a couple of times now:
http://news.nationalpost.com/life/fo...now-you-do-too
I think whoever directed me to zest clementines has a heck of sense of humour...you need something thicker-skinned like a tangerine. I used canola oil instead of olive oil and sour cream instead of yogurt. I think the key is a good extract, in this cake. You need a ton of Club House orange extract (2+ tsp) to get a decent flavour. ETA: the cake is really good stale oddly enough, as described in the article. That's a benefit to me because we can't eat a tray of mini loaves without help, and they usually stick around 4-5 days...
I just ordered some LorAnn Bakery Emulsion in Orange http://www.goldaskitchen.com/ca/oran...ural-4-oz.html to see if that works better. Nice cake, just missing a key ingredient....
Has anyone used these before? If the flavour is good I will pick up the Buttery Dough and Princess flavours too. If not, I am going to try natural Orange Oil http://www.goldaskitchen.com/ca/orange-oil-pure.htmlLast edited by lecale; Sun, Feb 14th, 2016 at 01:28 PM.

I'm looking for a new banana oatmeal square recipe. Could someone please share theirs?
I was given 2lbs of honey roasted peanuts. I want to use some of them in some type of squares with chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and possibly some raisins. Any other suggestions?Last edited by Angela273; Sun, Feb 14th, 2016 at 09:10 PM.
