I usually shelf them as well...although if I had room to carry tape, I would probably tape 'em to the product and people can decide whether or not to grab the product with the coupon or the one without it. But as it is, my coupon binder is bulging and between that, my lists, and the little magnifying glass I carry so I can read that darned fine print, I don't have any room left for tape. LOL.

It's kinda funny how some people are about coupon use-as though using a coupon is a bad thing or shameful. Pfft. You WANT to give the company more money than you need to? Whatever. Your dollars and cents, not mine.

I like to leave diaper coupons on the shelf for new parents to find... it's extra nice to save on necessities.

I work at Sobey's in NS at the postal outlet, and on occasion I will bring my coupon binder with me and walk the aisles (yes, we're that busy..lol) and leave coupons beside items...I know my shoppers appreciate it!

I like to leave coupons I won't use on or near the products. I tried handing one to a woman once and she gave me the, "You think I can't afford full price?" line (or something similar)...I told her I didn't think that, but if she could afford full price then she could just donate the savings to a charity or give it someone who can't afford full price. She had to pause after that comment.

I usually do the coupon fairy - drop them on the shelf. I do wonder if they get picked up and tossed by staff though.

I really like one of our Co-ops - they have a coupon box/tray where you leave coupons and take coupons. I always have an envelope on the go for the Co-op of things expiring about a month from now or coupons from the flyer inserts that I know I won't use or trade. I usually find some coupons I need there too.
Extra cash here - earn by searching/watching videos/doing offers on swagbucks - it's a legit site and pays reliably.

I gave some random woman and her older son a coupon for the Dr. Pepper (2 cases - $2 off) while standing in the cash (she was just about to pay for hers) and they were so appreciative. Happy people make me happy.

That's crazy that she said you couldn't give it to a stranger! After all, the company created that coupon so that someone (anyone) can use it. The store gets it's money back anyway.

One time at the pharmacy at Loblaws while I was waiting for a prescription I was putting coupons (mostly for $2 - $3 off) for various headache and cold remedies with the products, and the Pharmacist came out and told me I could not do that, that the coupons on the shelf, those manufactors had paid for the space. I did however, manage to give away one to someone who picked up the product, and she told me I couldn't give them to strangers, so I introduced myself to the woman and she introduced herself, then I gave her the coupon, lmao. The pharmacist glared at me, but since I at that time purchased several hundred dollars a month in prescriptions, she didn't make too much more of an issue over it, once I offered to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere.
