Hi all this is my first post and I hope this is the right place. I am wondering if anyone else has had issues using on-line coupons at certain stores? I have tried to use save.ca and the $2 off pull ups from kimberly clark site at my local Sobeys and they have been refused! They say they don't accept internet coupons? Wondering if this is just my sobeys or all sobeys?
Anyways I will be doing my shopping elsewhere going forward but just curious.

Thanks and have a great day! Kat

We've never really tried printables. However, I do know that some stores accept them more easily than others. For example my local No Frills may accept them, depending on whether or not you get a good cashier, but my Wal-Mart (from what I know) doesn't accept them at all.

I suppose you can try another Sobeys, but it may just be the chain of the stores all together.

Good luck & welcome to SC!

Sobey's totally accepts them, I've used all of the ones you have mentioned. Where are you located? I know region to region there has been issues. Try calling the CS line(Head office) and ask them. I had a similar issue with Save on Foods, and I called there HO to ask there policy, I even provided them the website for printables (J&J site) and they informed me that ALL there stores should be accepting them and they would personally call the manager and remind them of this. So that is what I would do, at least that way you know you are getting the information from the horses mouth

I have no problem using save.ca & websaver. The printable ones from the company websites...my Food Basics, Price Chopper, and No Frills rejects them.

I have never had troubles using save.ca until today at Zellers. The cashier told me they didn't except coupons with only English on them (the coupon must have both English and French). She phoned a few managers and finally accepted them.

It seems like they make up the rules as they go.

If they're printed coupons it's hit or miss. I had enough problems on the other side as a cashier that I don't even bother. Too many memo's about fraudulent printables to want to bother. Never had an issue with Save.ca....

I have emailed Sobeys in the past and I was told "We regret to inform you, that due to the large amount of fraudulent online coupons circulating, Sobeys will not be honouring online coupons at this time". This was November 2008, though, so maybe they have changed the policy, or maybe some stores choose to accept them but the overall corporate policy is that they don't have to?

But save.ca coupons should not be a problem, as they are mailed to you. I would email Sobeys and ask for their official policy - I couldn't find anything on their site at all regarding coupons.

Personally, I don't like using printables, so whenever I see one, I email the company and ask if it is possible to receive a coupon by mail instead. Most have no problem mailing something out.
