Thread: Safeway's Sweet AirMiles Deals
-
Sat, Aug 20th, 2011, 10:22 PM #2941
Actually, they didn't ask for my address. The only info I gave during my registration was safeway#, airmiles#, name, phone number, and my safeway store. Most items (with the exception of really large things or really small things ie;gift cards or tvs) will be sent to the store and they will phone you for pick up when the item arrives.
Good Luck on Monday!
LOVE this thread by the way!!

Gonna pass too although it's not a bad deal when you consider Wal-Mart sells electric bicycles for around $900-$1000. Despite the MSRP of $699 so who knows what it'd really sell for you're still only spending $285 in AirMiles and I assume the taxes are covered as well.Today's buy - Schwinn Invidia Electric Bicycle @ 2500 Air Miles

Hmmm, going to have to ponder this one a bit. Was looking at the one up for auction, but started going too high. Never used one of these electric bikes before, but tempting as commuter vehicle (save the money on gas, plus can park right at my office rather than 4 blocks away like with the vehicle).
Of course, with 4-6 weeks for delivery, probably get it just in time for snow

One thing to consider is that with an MSRP of $699 this is a pretty low-end bike which might break down easily. If it's like other AM offers if they ship you something that is broken they refuse to take responsibility and you end up having to deal with the manufacturer directly which could be a problem.

Looks like a Denial of Service again this morning. Just got online (8:27 (9.27 MT)) after getting my people to task.
Looks like the electric bike was a no go unless they got 29 people in the last 14 minutes.
Last I looked the $500 Safeway GC was at 9,980. Could have got $1,140 in gas for that.
Someone is over a 1,000 on the $100 GC and over 3,000 on the $250 GC which is even worse.

There's a notice at Facebook where Safeway is giving away 250 32G iPODs to make up for Friday's debacle. There's no date on the notice but it's at the top. Just says entries by 5:00PM MT draw at 6:00.
Just have to email name and telephone number to:
