Thanks for posting the upcoming Safeway Air Miles bonus offers, OB.
e-auction update: The $200 Safeway Gift Card is at 8030 AM*. It might be time to start developing some conspiracy theories.

Speaking of conspiracy theories, my facebook comments from a couple of days ago, one of which included a link to my spreadsheet, were never posted on the Safeway Facebook page.

Thanks--not hard when all the items pictured have already appeared
A three minute sellout, and I did get one--tougher than last year--only 80 across Canada...for your spreadsheet, about $660 of cost for $1249retail (apple never discounts, of course) Now off to Safeways to start replenishing those 6000 AM's that just went away )

already on the spreadsheet - same model is on sale @ Futureshop for $1200. Definitely a good deal at 6000AM (if you're one of those Apple kool-aid drinkers that is...)

Hi all,
I'm new to this site, but very happy I found it!!
I didn't read this entire thread, but I read enough to see that there are a few eyebrows being raised about the validity of the e-auction.........I also have concerns about it, and have been in touch with Safeway e-auction admin. Please see below for my comments, and think what you will...... Cheers!
Just wondering....is it possible for someone to post a BOGUS bid? IE: currently, a trip for 2 to Hawaii is over 72000 Air Miles. OK, maybe, possibly, if the guy is on crack, but seriously.........if it is indeed a bogus bid, what happens next? Is it possible for Safeway and AirMiles to be connected in future Auctions, so that BOGUS/FALSE bids don't happen???? In other words.....when we sign up for the Safeway e-Auction, our Airmiles are already accounted for, and tallied...... Safeway knows how many miles we have available to spend, and Air Miles has given Safeway the permission to take it from our account, the second the Auction closes. Is that possible? Thank You
We monitor all bids on all items throughout the day. This was an error in typing and this bid was retracted right away. Thanks
Prize Admin Office
Again, I question the validity of the following items:
$200 Safeway gift card for.........8030 air miles????????????????
Softtub 6 person Hot Tub..................53850 air miles?????????????????????????
Seriously?????????????????
This is likely a SCAM through AIR miles, to try and get people to bid away their life savings.
I'm not impressed.
Obviously we cannot control what people bid on items or if they have made a mistake while bidding. We are in the process of looking at these two bids.
Prize Admin Office
You understand how unfair the process is though.....
If this IS a partnership project between Safeway and Airmiles, there MUST be a way to ensure that the people who are bidding, ACTUALLY do have that amount of Air Miles in their account upon bidding.
Please consider my thoughts during your next round table meetings, and consult with a Web Designer on the topic.
Thank you.
