Is it coincidental that we just had two big airmiles weeks at Safeway, and today our Safeway is doing a full inventory count with dozens of people in? I'm wondering if they were trying to boost their sales numbers chain-wide for re-financing or something.
I did make a second trip on the weekend for another 440 Airmiles, and might make a third either tomorrow or Thursday using the smaller coupon. Our Safeway actually has really good quality blueberries this week, far better than the garbage I've been buying at Costco and Superstore the last few weeks.

Looked at the new Thrifty Foods flyer today.. they now have a lot more Air Miles offers vs Safeway. They're not great.. but there are a lot of them. :/

Thrifty's is the closest supermarket to me but I only go there out of desperation. Way too high priced.

Today instead of Thrifty's I'll shop at Save-On.. I'll buy $100 worth of food for the Mustard Seed food bank and pick up 11,000 of their points worth about $60 to me. After the tax credit it'll be break even. Next week I can do the same and even make a profit.
Not sure how many multiples you can do at Save-On (Have I heard 5???) but if they didn't have limits???? Next week:
B$100G2000
B4G2000 various General Mills cereal products
One of the products is Nature Valley Sweet and Salty bars @ $1.88 each so 4 = $7.56
If there are no limits 14 multiples = $105.84
14 x 2000 =28,000 + 2,000 = 30,000 possible points
A $50 GC I get with cash plus 3,000 points = $18 savings to me.
10 GC's = $180 saved on $105 spent.Last edited by operabob; Wed, Jul 27th, 2016 at 11:31 AM.

I'm curious what foods you're buying for the food bank? There was just an article saying they're at their summer low, so I'm wondering about doing the same...

Check with your local food banks as not all offer tax receipts for food donations if you also give them the sales receipt. The Mustard Seed here has in the past.
The Mustard Seed also accepts items other than food, for example, toothpaste, cleaning products, etc.

Yes, it's 5 multiples on this week's offerings but I'll have to check the flyer starting tomorrow when I get home.

This week too on 5 multiples (although I have 2 cards counting my wife).
So Nature Valley is $1.88 = $7.56 for 4 and you get 2,000 More points. (I price matched at $1.77 last time).
I sometimes do cash plus 3,000 points saving $18 on a $50 GC. 2,000 = $12 on a $7.56 spend on that one.
Even the worst MORE GCS save about $10 on 3,000 prorated to $6.67 saved on a $7.56 spend.

engo,
I posted your link a couple times on their Facebook page. I'm sure they took it down. ;-)
