Also if your unsure whether safeway will give you airmiles on multiple buys just phone them up, they are usually very helpful... 1-877-SAFEWAY

Heads up on a great deal from the flyer that I missed but thankfully saw in the store...
Listerine mouthwash (1L is buy one g1 free) and have an aimilres special... my safeway has $1 off coupons. Here is the breakdown of what 6 bottles cost me..
$7.50 * 6 = $45
divided by 2 = 22.50
minus 6 $1 off coupons = $16.50
minus 10% for CAD day = 14.85
minus amount for airmiles (60am * 0.14) (8.40) = 6.45
pretty good for 6 1L bottles of listerine!!!Last edited by sniperc151; Tue, Feb 3rd, 2009 at 11:51 PM.

Well done.
I had to go to Vancouver on business today and missed 10% off.
However, I have the $5 off on $50 from the Entertainment books so I'll use that.
Keep an eye out everybody. The "We Care" booklets should be out this month. I bought 4 last year and you can get 10% on $20 groceries and meat and really boost your AMs.

awww, missed that it was part of airmiles. i did b1g1 free and that was it. But please tell me, how did you use all 6 $1.00 coupons if you're buying 1 and getting 1 free -- do they allow you to use the $1.00 coupon on your free item? (if so, i think i could have saved myself another $10 in my shopping as I did purchase quite a few other b1g1 free where I also had coupons for these items. Look forward to the answer...and to applying that next time around!!

they let me use the coupon on the free one, I am purchasing 6 items, and the coupon should be like cash to store as the manufacturer reimburses them. Although, as always I'm sure it depends on the cashier... look for the young ones, they arent as sticky about that kind of stuff...

thanks for the info sniperc151.
one other thing: did you also hand your coupons over after the 10% CS discount. It seems some Safeways are applying coupons, then the 10% discount and other Safeways are applying the 10% CS discount, then coupons which gives you even more savings. (mine, of course, did it the first way...urrggghhh).

i believe the 10% or 10x airimles acording to safeway is supposed to be the last thing applied, so if your getting your coupons after the 10% then your lucky

thats too bad, its such a good deal considering one box is normally $6 + Yesterday my original bill was $290, with using only $6 of coupons the price was brought down to $155, they had to get a CS Rep to overide the system cause i saved to much.

Missed one earlier in the week:
Herbal Essences Hydralicious Shampoo
B2 for $5 G25AMs
So a $5 purchase nets $3.50 approx. AMs
If you have an Entertainment Book coupon and buy $50 worth of whatever at Safeway that amounts to 10% off.
So a $4.50 purchase nets $3.50 approx. AMs
The PG booklet doesn't have any coupons but as this is a new product there should be some around somewhere. If you could get $0.50 coupons and applying the 10% off last:
$5 for 2 minus $1 for 2 coupons = $4 minus 10% = $3.60 and you get $3.50 in AMs!

I have the Feb. 8 - 14 Flyer.
Of course I can't say what the email.direct offers on the front page are yet under the new URL coding.
Some of the better looking offers are:
Purex: single/dbl/trpl $6.99 B3G60
It seems Safeway has changed the format on these types of offers. Used to be it would be a B2G50 but they'd boost the price to $9.99 or $10.99 which just brought the effective price back around $6.50 or so.
This new offer is better as you start at a lower price ($6.99) and knock off 20 AMs per item ($2.80) to get an effective price of around $4.19.
Sponge Towels (8s) @ $9.99 and Scotties 6 pack @ $5.99 are also included (I but SDM housebrand instead)
Frozen Food Festival: B5G50 (Mix & Match)
Green Giant 750g 2 for $5
Pizza Pops $6.99
McCain Super Fries 3 for $8
Eggos 3 for $6
Cheemo Perogies 2 for $5
Stouffer's Lean Cuisine 3 for $9
Duracell Batteries $7.99 B2G75
I'd only buy these with the P&G coupons or better.
Dove haircare products are on again B3G10 or B6G25
Sunsilk is the best price in the offering at $1.99 but this weeks Herbal Essences 2 for $5 Get 25AMs is a far better deal
Johnson Baby Products are B2G20 or B4G60
And of course there's Valentines Flowers. There's a $5 coupon in the flyer on a dozen unforgetable rose arrangement @ $54.99 (I paid $31 two weeks ago on the same thing for my wife) and a B1G50AMs on an "Unforgetable Rose Package" (no price given) that includes a cuddly bear and heart!!!!!!!!!!! I can just imagine the price!
I, of course will claim I forgot and buy a dozen roses on Feb. 15!
