    Here's the article but I don't see a reference at AirMiles.ca:

    Search on Yahoo, earn Air Miles

    MATT HARTLEY
    January 29, 2009

    <!-- Summary --> Yahoo Inc. is betting one brand of customer loyalty will beget another and that Web users will enjoy earning Air Miles by using its search engine. Yesterday, the Internet giant announced a new Air Miles Internet browser toolbar that will give Canadians the chance to earn reward miles by using Yahoo's search technology. Air Miles collectors can earn five free reward miles for every 50 search queries they make using the toolbar, which can be downloaded at airmiles.ca. "This is a great opportunity to partner with a loyalty program to offer reward miles to Canadians, and we believe this will help Yahoo Canada to continue to be a force in the highly competitive search business," said Yahoo Canada spokeswoman Gina Cothey. YHOO (Nasdaq) rose 90 cents (U.S.) to $12.24.

    Found the Tool Bar and downloaded it to try it out.

    25 Quick searches and it stopped tallying. I gather it has time system in place to keep one from racking up searches.

    Flyer is out.

    Start of one of those 4 week AirMile booklet promos. Gives you a chance to look for coupons.

    2nd week looks better to me.

    Next week has a B4G40 AMs on Rising Crust Pizza @ $5.99 each. This week's emaildirect has B2G20 @ $5 each which is a far better deal.

    Is this Tuesday 10% off day?

    Oh, one worth waiting for:

    Pantene this week is B3G15

    Week after next it's B3G30 same price.

    Just thought I'd alert everybody to an absolutely outstanding AirMile offer this week, especially Tuesday!

    Kashi Cereal $3.99 each B5G100AMs

    5 = $19.95
    100AMs = approx. $14
    Effectively 5 = $4.95 or $0.99 each

    It gets better:

    There are Kashi coupons out there.
    Tuesday is 10% off day (on $35 total purchase).

    Suppose you managed to get $0.50 coupons:

    5 = $19.95 - (5 x $0.50) = $17.45

    10% off = $1.75

    Total cost $15.70
    Less the $14 in AMs = $1.70 each effectively or $0.34 each

    If you donated to a food bank for a receipt for every $15.70 spent on Tuesday you'd get $14 in AMs + tax refund possibly of $7.85 (50% return).

    So $15.70 spent gets $21.85 credit elsewhere ($14 + $7.85).

    Just a quick question...is the 100AM when you spend $100 just a periodical weekly promotion? Also, there is a Buy 5 earn 40 on Yoplait products. I have FPC's for the Yoplait Soruce. Will I still earn the 40 AM's if I use them?

    100 AMs on $100 spent is periodical but they seem to be using it virtually every week lately.

    FPC????

    You should get the AMs then as they ring it in then credit the coupon.

    On items that are B4G40AMs and they also have a BOGO you only have to pay for 2 items to get it as long as you take the 2 free ones to the cashier. Some of the Lysol products fit this week.

    Quick note to say to remember to use your FPCs on Tuesday at Safeway! They take the 10% off the total groceries, before deducting the coupons. So you get a discount on your free items too!

    Also a quesion for you OB: Can you get multiples of the AM promos? For ex, can I buy 10 Nabob coffee and get 80 AM? Also is the Spend $100 get 100 AM coupon in the special AM booklet or is it in the flyer and attached to your order automatically? I'm doing some serious deal shopping bright and early on Tuesday morning!

    My parents were die hard Nabob coffee drinkers. I never buy coffee at Safeway as it's always too expensive. Still:

    Too me it looks like you'd get multiples on 10.

    If you can't get multiples (or only so many multiples) the word "Limit" usually appears.

    There's a S$100G100AM coupon in the booklet but it's for Feb. 15 - 21.

    Is there one for this week?

    Can't find any Spend $100 get $100AM offer this week, the only one I have is spend $60 and get 5x the base airmiles reward miles, although I don't think safeway would accept this on Customer appreciation day which..
