Homemade fruitcake and what we call potato candy. Mix a very small potato with icing sugar until it looks like pastry, roll out, spread with peanut butter. Roll up like a jelly roll and slice. Mom always made these at Christmas.

Kahlua...it's a Christmas treat for me and ONLY me on Christmas day.
I do not share my Kahlua.
Fruitcake. Yes, really....I haven't made it in years, but the Shriner's dark ones come close.

I was given a pizzelle press a few Christmases ago and now I can make a batch pretty easily. They have pure anise ( licorice flavour, yummy! ) in the batter.

I always splurge and buy a box of fancy Lindt chocolates and the little lindor balls for christmas morning, nothing like a sugar rush while opening your presents!

I also LOVE Almond Roca, sooo good!

My sister and I share the task of doing all the baking. Most years we have Nuts and Bolts, Naniamo Bars, all sorts of cookies, gingerbread men/women, sugar cookies, buns, cinnamon buns. But my all time fav is chocolate covered cherries!

Terry's Chocolate Orange, Ovation mint sticks, Grand Marnier chocolates, chocolate orange peels! Hmm, guess I really like orange and chocolate together.

I used to wrap mine in cheesecloth then foil, in a tupperward container, in the fridge, and every week, unwrap it, pour brandy over it, seal it up again...omg...by Christmas, one slice and you'd be looped! No crumbling...it stuck together real good!

I do something similar-but no cheesecloth and the brandy keeps it "cured" and moist I use the Eagle Brand recipe from their website..
