Homemade fruitcake and what we call potato candy. Mix a very small potato with icing sugar until it looks like pastry, roll out, spread with peanut butter. Roll up like a jelly roll and slice. Mom always made these at Christmas.

Kahlua...it's a Christmas treat for me and ONLY me on Christmas day.
I do not share my Kahlua.
Fruitcake. Yes, really....I haven't made it in years, but the Shriner's dark ones come close.

I was given a pizzelle press a few Christmases ago and now I can make a batch pretty easily. They have pure anise ( licorice flavour, yummy! ) in the batter.

I always splurge and buy a box of fancy Lindt chocolates and the little lindor balls for christmas morning, nothing like a sugar rush while opening your presents!
I also LOVE Almond Roca, sooo good!Last edited by alohamom; Sat, Nov 12th, 2011 at 09:34 AM.

My sister and I share the task of doing all the baking. Most years we have Nuts and Bolts, Naniamo Bars, all sorts of cookies, gingerbread men/women, sugar cookies, buns, cinnamon buns. But my all time fav is chocolate covered cherries!

Terry's Chocolate Orange, Ovation mint sticks, Grand Marnier chocolates, chocolate orange peels! Hmm, guess I really like orange and chocolate together.
