I've traded with some SCs on here even mods who were very generous..
I've traded generously sometimes because I really wanted a particular high value coupon.. so maybe I would pay a little extra for shipping in order to get a coupon I really needed.
I think you have to use your brain and/or instinct when you are trading..
To me: $5 coupon = trade for another $5 coupon.. regardless of brand. Some people just want stamps sometimes, I don't mind.Last edited by Brynhilde; Sat, Dec 31st, 2011 at 11:19 PM.

Its great to see a new and tidy thread
I have two pins for free products to trade that I am stumped on. Can you tell me the value in regular coupons for:
free Shreddies retro tee shirt from shreddies cereal box
free personalized 12 page 2012 photo calender from frosted Flakes box (you send in your pictures and they mail you a calender, postage covered as well)
Is there a rough way to calculate non-food products from promotions?
Thanks for the help

bookmarking this for reference, many thanks.
This help me to see that my asking for a $ 5.00 gift certificate for 5 x the Brandsaver inserts is ok, and not off the wall....lol!!!
Also tried to offer many other options for those that dont want to or do not have GC to trade.....asking $400 in cpns from my wish list for 5 x cut out inserts.....
I was guessing that cut out specific request cpns bulk order for $100.00 value a $5.00 GC was a reasonable request.http://www.facebook.com/groups/29636...6361680429066/

Need some advice from more experienced traders...
I'm doing a trade with someone who is offering GCs or stamps, she has no coupons that I want. What would be a fair amount for GCs for the following? This trader hasn't made an offer, I'm not questioning what she wants, I just want to ask for a fair amount.
4 X buy Kashi cereal, get Kashi bars free
4 X buy All Bran cereal, get All Bran bars free
4 X buy Special K cereal, get Special K bars free
plus
1 X $1 Gardein call in
2 X $1 Haines Celestial call ins
1 X BOGO Arctic gardens veggies
Help! Don't know if I should hang on to these to trade for other HV coupons I want, or ask for a GC. Any advice?

Personally I would hold out for coupons you want, but depends on the expiry, a lot of the good ones expired Dec.
- $10 worth of HV coupon(s) - same / $3 GC / $20 reg coupons
So work out what they sell for (at a cost SCers would pay, not the max price) and 30% of that in GC
Not sure, haven't collected nor traded them in a while, work out what you get for them and go from that value
Not really, depends how much people want them - I would just ask for offers
Hand picked coupons are ones you pick from their trade list, where starter packs are envies they make up from their stash and could have anything in it.
$50 of those coupons trades for $5 gift card (GC) or 10 unused P stamps
High Value (HV) coupons usually go for 25-33% of their value (price we would pay not over inflated max values) and Free Product Coupons (FPC) at 33-50% of their value in gift cards - but most people prefer trading them for other HV/FPC coupons

So I'm just curious about this. I wanted to make an offer on 3 FPC Kashi cereal. These coupons do not have a max value therefore am I supposed to go by the general price of the cereal itself?
The cereal is regularly priced at $4.99 (at walmart) therefore $14.97 for three boxes. Going by this I am supposed to offer/trade for $7.48GC.
Now honestly that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me seeing as a couple of weeks ago the cereal was on for $3.99 ... I mean with postage it will be over $8 total for 3 FPC's. OR I could wait on a sale day and get 3 boxes of cereal with a $1 coupon and pay $9 for 3 cereals...
I was going to offer $1.50 per each FPC, but apparently I was WAY off the mark on that...
On another note, how are coupons with max values looked at? I mean Kashi bar FPC's have a max value of $5 or so I believe.. (correct me if I am wrong) and I see them on sale 95% of the time for $2.99. So if I were to honor the max value of coupon I would be sending a $2.50 gc for ONE FPC, and after postage I would be paying more than the bars would be if I had just gotten them on sale.
Help?!?! This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me..
