About 2 years ago when i was going to pick up dh at wok one night around 5pm i saw a snowy owl flying and then it landed on a light post. It was beautiful , I was in shock, in all the years we camped I only saw an owl once and yet right here in my "backyard" I see one. lol

I've seen foxes next to downtown.
I even saw a family of raccoons in a tree in my backyard.
I also saw marmots and @ & $?% skunks.
And bats, there were also. But it's been a while.
And since I live in town, rats as big as fat cats.
Unfortunately, I have never seen owls.
Ontest, you're lucky to see this wildlife home.More savings and tips? Go see this site.

I once had to chase a deer off my deck. It managed to get stuck behind the barbeque so I had to move that and then make sure it didn't try to jump over the railings as it's about 10 ft in the air on that side.

There was a bear at LilPenguins' s school 2 years ago. I have a friend who lives close to the school and she phoned me to say that she had seen a bear walk across her garden and disappear into the school's play area and up the mountain.
The school had to close the playground for the firstt week of term while the bear was found and re-located.

While it would probably scare the cr@p out of me, I'd love to see a bear around here. We do have plenty of fox, deer, and rabbits. Twice I've seen a coyote at our fence line and I know if one is nearby when my Lucky goes totally nuts...he runs like mad along the fence, chews the air (it's how he scents), howls, whines, and alternately tries to dig under and to climb over the 7' fence .

2 year ago had a family of skunks all 7 of them, decided to cross my lawn, cute but stinky!! We have lots of bunny and ground hog. We have 2 types of woodpeckers attack a tree in the park behind my house, they are so loud! Many eagles circling the park and YES I had a wild turkey in my yard to, and no one believes me!!

Oh I believes you ellen!
I have so many wild animal...
the thing is we need to learn to look, to observe them, listen the sound, ect...
3 weeks ago, it was a porcupine at my door... my 14-years old cat had suffer of him few day before (I know it was the porcupine after I saw the porcupine). My cat probably got a sharp spine side to side on her back, close to spine cord. My cat was sleeping alot, didn't eat alot 3 day, exuding some liquid after few day and now my cat is better... But at one point we were scared and was thinking it was the end for her.Liberty of one finish where liberty of the other one start

It appears we have at least one marmot (groundhog ?) in our neighbourhood. Probably living under our first floor balcony.
A few days ago my neighbour was sitting in her yard taking some sun, and it just pranced across her yard like it owned the place.
Oy vey.
