Hi all.

Was at the dress rehearsal of Nightingale & Other Fables (actually it was only the other fables tonight) & got to see something different. Well, with Robert LePage directing it would be. The orchestra was on stage, the conductor was standing on a podium in a pool of water & there were folks doing shadow puppets (a whole set of cats at one point that was really neat). If you want something weird & different, I recommend it.

I'll be around for tomorrow's recap, but don't think I'll be able to manage Sunday. I will be back Monday tho, so for anyone starting Thanksgiving early - Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks, TR. Billy Connolly is one of my favourite comedians. I had the great pleasure of seeing him live several years ago. I laughed so hard for 90 minutes that my abs felt like I'd done 500 crunches!

If you ever get the chance, you should read the book "Billy", which is a biography on Billy written by his wife Pamela Stephenson. I highly recommend it.

....yup, got it.....he's an amazing example of surviving childhood abuse.....thank God Pamela came along....
.......first time I ever saw him, he was appearing at Cedarbrae Collegiate. and that must have been '72?....maybe '73?....that was his Big Banana Feet tour....oh, and on our 13 anniversary, hubby and I got tickets to see him.... he just happened to get out of his car to go into Massey Hall as we were walking by.....he talked with me a minute, and I got an autograph and a kiss on the cheek....he smelled wonderful!!!....who said 13 is unlucky?!?!?!...TR;-)
