What was your best classic rock artist concert and what made it so great????
Without question it was David Gilmour's solo tour in 2006. He played at Massey Hall for two nights and I was there for the second show on April 10th. We had front row seats in the balcony which gave us an excellent view of his mastery on the guitar and Rick Wright on the keys. Seeing them perform Echoes and C Numb in the same night was as close to nirvana as this old brain will ever get.

Honourable mentions would have to go to Eagles at the ACC during the Farewell 1 tour (also in '06), The Boss at the Skydome in 2003 and Pink Floyd minus Roger Waters way back in '94 at the old Exhibition Stadium.

    Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

I had to go to a meeting earlier tonight. Luckily it wasn't the bloody coup that I had feared & everyone was mostly respectful (except the twit who keeps playing the wounded innocent, I lost what little respect I had for him when the 60 yr old cried cause he didn't get his way ).

Off to write up some of the constructive notes that came out of the meeting for some folks who were lucky enough to have other plans.

    Night all.

So impressive he's known as "the guy who opened for them"? Give us a hint!

Hey! wait up everyone. I just got the chance to read through the days posts and, well, I have 2 pennies to throw in.

First off: since I was partially involved in the unpleasantness of last night, let me say this.

Summer365, to you I say, I meant no offence to you whatsoever, and if you perceived it that way I apologize. I have been a member of this board longer than some, and some have been on longer than me, but my opinion is no more or less valid than anyone elses. Anyone that wants to post whatever they choose to, is fine by my book. So please dont feel like you were getting ganged up on last night cause you were'nt.

Shaman, well said. There was a few others that made very thoughtful and intuitive remarks, again, well said.

SillyLoocie, I loved your poem on the subject. Oh! and on the topic of tips for the pizza guy. Being a recent ex-driver for pizzapizza, the driver doesn't get the delivery charge, most places pay 6-7 an hour to the driver plus tips. But when they arent delivering pizza, they are back at the store, measuring dough balls, slicing tomatoes, etc. Preping all the yummy things that go on your pizza.

My son ordered from Pizza Pizza (they have terrible pizza I think)

    The pizza cost $17.39
    Delivery charge was $3.25
    Taxes were $2.65

Total charges were $23.32. He gave the guy $25.00 and said thank you. The delivery guy looked like he was expecting more.

    What do you think kids?

wish I could help.. I never order pizza

Wow, that's pretty good especially 30 years ago if it doesn't include tips!

    - Primo Pizza

Did you ever go to G&J's? It played Laurel & Hardy flicks on the wall, while you dined. The pizza was good, but the ribs were really yummy.

$25 is enough - I would have given the same.....I have no clue what they get...I often wondered what happens when they don't get it to the door on time. It has happened to me and I offered the driver $5 tip and free pizza....he told me that he was only 3 minutes late and that his kids were not going to have food to eat cuz he now had to pay for the cost of my order. He refused the $5 and caused a sceen at the door and finally walked away empty handed (by choice, he didn't want my $5). Their speal is 40 minutes or free...it was 43 minutes, I want it for free!!!
    keep smiling
    Cheers, Kells
