I'm with you on the ants, Dave! We get invaded every year and I can't STAND them. When I was a kid, I used to dream that they crawled all over my bed! Argh! Where's my therapist?

All I can add is thank God for Raid! As much as I cant stand ants, the picture of that bug gave me chills and goosebumps. Creepy doesnt begin to describe that bug.

hmmm...Tucker (dog) eats those like crazy! He loves chasing them down. The only problem is when the legs get in the way and he spits the half chewed remains out on the carpet and i step in it the next morning!!!
maybe i'll let some live, if they get rid of other nasties in my house.
Tell you what Dave, you pay for postage and i'll send you all the ones Tucker locates. I'll train him to just locate them, not destroy them!!!Last edited by Sunshyne1; Wed, May 2nd, 2012 at 01:00 PM.

Its kinda funny how many checked this thread out of curiousity!
I once woke up in our duplex and thought I had been dreaming I had the mutha of all mutha centipedes on my arm. I looked over and it literally was on my arm. I flicked it off and it scurried in the covers. Dh and I had to jump out of bed and find it. He wasn't too happy considering it was 7am and his only day off that week lol!
We have ants and the centipedes.. they have decided to live in harmony and live off my toaster crumbs tray.

I agree that they are very beneficial. I don't think they look that bad. I think what freaks me out the most is how FAST they are! I don't think I could outrun one,

ewwww we have those too...LOTS of them. I don't think it helps that we live in the boonies surrounded by farms and don't have a basement. We have mutant spiders and those centipedes and a ton of other creepy things. I'm the one that usually finds them too
I'm hoping moving into a condo solves the bug issue for me...The higher up I am the further the damn things have to travel to reach me

i am so glad I haven't seen one of these around the house. But reading about everyone's encounters with them I'm gonna be on alert everytime i take a shower now. Yikes! I can't stand any bugs.
