so tomorrow is the big day. I have to wake up at 6 am to have a shower and get ready to go to the hospital for 7am (I have to be there 2 hours before my surgery). I am so excited. I am also very proud of myself as i was told i would likely be on insulin by 20 weeks (gestational diabetes) but tomorrow is the day and I'm still diet controlled.

SO i am finally home. my son was born at 12:03pm on June 6th. there was just a small delay because someone needed an emergency c-section first. I had requested a private room but i was given semi private which is fine and worked out well because i didn't have a roommate so they let dh stay in the room with me. (this is really good because our medical plan only covered semi private so we wont have to pay the difference for an upgrade but still got the perks i wanted from the private room.) my recovery is going amazingly well. i was up walking around the next day on my own and they let me go home before a full 48 hours. (they asked if i wanted to stay another night and i said i really wanted to get home to my other son. I cant believe how much i missed him and how hard it was to be away from him even though my mom brought him in to visit every day i have never been away from him for over 4 hours before let alone been away from him over night.) We got home yesterday around 10 or 11 am and had a great first day/night. i set my alarm to feed him every 3 hours at night but he slept so well i had to wake him up for his night time feedings lol. dh is changing all the diapers and ds is an amazing big brother. (I was worried because he seemed really jealous of his cousin when i babysat. but he really seems to love his brother and is very careful and gentle with him.) anyway I just wanted to give a quick update and i'm going back to bed to rest and watch tv with my kids.

Congrats Francine.. hope your sons to out to be best of buddies.. sounds like they are starting out on the right foot. 2 days in the hospital is awesome..esp. after a C-section. i was in a week. its SO nice to be home and comfy. take it easy.
