Just a little rant....but I get so annoyed when people can't put the u in colour. We are Canadian, not American. That is all...

In your honor, I'll do you the favor to spell color as colour.... hopefully it won't be too labor intensive but if I forget I hope you won't harbor any resentment... as the Song Lady, I know you can see the humor of it all.

It's still early... think I'll go savor some yogurt/yogourt/yoghurt.... any flavor

I tend to use the American spellings for words as I've often been part of forums that include many Americans. Plus it's shorter, and I'm terribly lazy by nature.

So no offense to anyone if I spell words like this: color, flavor, odor, rumor, neighbor, labor etc., I'm still Canadian. Z is Zed! (Well actually I worked at a call center fielding calls from Americans and always said zee for them when spelling words out. Also learned how to say about instead of aboot! Lol, kidding on the last part. I still say aboot. )

Spelling and grammar drive me nuts too. I swear we are slowly become Americanized. I want no part of that
The three "there" spellings and the your - you're mix ups drive me batty. When texting language is used to write forum paragraphs (aside from LOL) or short forms are used like frig for fridge, it just looks lazy. Ok I will climb off my soap box and declare my little rant over haha.

This is a pet peave if mine too!! I have two more as well, why do people pronounce the word coupon --cuepon? Makes me crazy.

The one that makes me the craziest is when people say they seen a great deal. No, no you did not. You saw a great deal, maybe you have seen a great deal, but you didn"t seen a great deal.

LOL could go away forever too. Is it that hard to say holy crappers that was funny?

That feels better now I can start my day!!!!!!!

Haha, my husband says "cuepon" all the time. I just want to smack him upside the head for it, in a loving way of course

Here's a question for all y'all (<-- can you get more American than that?), do you pronounce 'herb' as herb (including the h sound) or as 'erb?

(I'm with Eddie Izzard on this one btw. )

I work for a Japanese firm which is based out of LA and we are a small devison of that Japanese LA based company so all my correspondence is with Americans, we deal with the LA office on a daily basis so if I were to write emails using the Canadian words they would probably wonder why I was hired when I can't spell lol
