We've got several buds of these now that my Fernleaf peonies are done. I have four bushes of them.
I also have a Mons. Jules Elie peony that was purchased by accident. It was supposed to be a Shirley Temple. I have a credit from the garden centre, but two years is a long time to find out they put the wrong sticker on the plant!
I think I have three Sarah Bernhardt peonies as well, but they've never recovered from the shock of being moved from Mom's property and have never bloomed.

Peonies are such big babies when it comes to moving them. They'll forgive you eventually
That one in the picture is amazing!

Finally a few more blooms I'm surprised I gave anything left in my garden. My son's 2 7 month okd pom Chi's have gotten into everything! Big lily flower then other lily bulbs the veggy garden! Ugh it's a full time job just to put up things to keep them out. And they're so small they can get into anything.
sorry for the upside down pics just getting used to my phone camera.Last edited by itsmewhoelse; Tue, Jun 9th, 2015 at 01:16 PM.
The most serious gardening I do would seem very strange to an onlooker, for it involves hours of walking round in circles, apparently doing nothing." --Helen Dillon

I find everything is just in suspended animation, seem slike the stuff I planted 3 weeks ago is just not moving. The weather has sucked pretty much.
Kiera's garden, no strawberry plants survived from last year so this year she has schrub tomatoes, basil , celery , hot peppers

I took a chance getting a canna since the last couple of years it has not been stinking hot like the thrive in. I could not resist the foliage on that one,

Mom's peonies are like sweet sparrow's background one and fully open. So that photo sweet sparrow has of the bigger bloom is the variety I have seen in a couple of yards on my walks to the library.
Mesclun seeds have sprouted (planted later than the green lettuce). Cuke plants are about two inches tall. Think there are two possible canteloupe plants sprouting in one patch but I had to weed out all the growing non-garden stuff to see the sprouts last night. Celery seeds show no signs of movement through the surface. Really happy with the rains of late-no watering for me!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
