We are all equal, no matter what your sexual orientation, and we all deserve to be treated as equals. One of my bff's is a fabulously flamboyant gay and proud of it, and I'm proud of him. I have watched him struggle over the years, be mistreated and turned down for jobs he was more that qualified for and it hurts.
It's great to see big companies stepping up to the plate, after all this is the 21 century! I'd buy a case of the cookies if I couldWe all need a little sunshine every now and then

I find it hilarious how people are so mad that they actually want to boycott a cookie brand because they posted a rainbow filling with support love underneath LOL! They didn't say support anything other than what it says LOVE...It's the ultra religious that are making a huge deal out of a rainbow cookie LOL! If they posted a picture of a regular oreo and put under it support Love the same people would still twist it to mean they supported gay marriage since it is posted the week of all the pride parades LOL!
Besides skittles has been supporting gay rights since 1979 "taste the rainbow" so I guess these people should also boycott any brand with rainbow colours because that automatically means it's for gay rights :p
Some people geesh...oh and last I checked the boycott was going really well *sarcasm* they only have like 19 members on facebook and the whole wall is full of people who support gay rights bashing the page.
The only sad thing is that they are not actually making this cookie I would love a rainbow stuffed oreo.
Besides love is love is love. If I can get married and be happy then my friends who are gay should also be allowed to get married if that is what makes them happy. I don't get it...It's like try to get a straight woman to explain why she is attracted to men or vice versa. We just are! Same for anyone who is LGBT they are attracted to who they are attracted to because they just are!Last edited by roseofblack25; Thu, Jun 28th, 2012 at 02:23 PM.

Rose, there are still 'some people out there' who believe(d) the regular oreo is all about the racial stuff - black and white. Gah!

The funny thing is though, if it weren't for the controversy I wouldn't have known about the rainbow cookie in the first place. Maybe they are actually doing pride a favour.

Funny, I first came across the Oreo picture on the GlobeandMail's website and at first glance, thought it was a real new Oreo cookie and that it looked delicious! Mmmm, all kinds of different flavoured layers that you could eat one by one! Ha ha, that would cause quite the stomach ache...but would be worth it I think!
After reading the actual article, I agree, it's ridiculous how angry people get these days over nothing. Good for Kraft for being progressive and supporting the gay community. I wonder if this fiasco will still hold true the old adage, "any publicity is good publicity" for them?Get good karma by joining Tellwut surveys under me!
