Really annoyed that there are no flyers ( Metro, Safeway, Shoppers, etc) included with our local newspaper anymore. Apparently, the stores are trying to lessen their carbon footprint or so they say.

@Tweets77 , I am not sure what areas are affected but I saw an article online (really wish I could remember which new outlet it was, but I cannot) that local newspapers are calling out Canada Post because Canada Post will now be delivering most flyers which means the newspapers have lost that revenue.

Where I live our local paper closed years ago and all flyers now come in the mail. but I have signed up for no advertising in my mail so I do not see them. But that was a personal choice and I understand some do rely on the paper copies.

@SassyAshley ....I get it. Not everyone enjoys flyers, but I live 30 minutes from town and I want to be able to plan my day and my route when shopping. I really hate wasting time going to a store and not knowing what the deals are. Like everyone else, I like saving money too.

Really annoyed at the amount of greed some people have .Home depot is having super great markdowns so i went the beginning of the week ,nope the employee said it flew out of here ,then i read they put toilet paper on for 1.98 for 4 rolls charmin i think .
People all over ontario are posting on facebook i got $136 worth of toilet paper ,look what 20 boxes of toilet paper looks like .Even on tic tok.In this day and time why didnt the stores limit it to say even 6 pkgs per family ,but again why are so people greedy .

In Qc we have what is called now RADAR.
It is 1 page each grocery flyer in a booklet.
WM is not even included!!!
And it come with the regular mail.
If we want the local newspaper we have to get it in groceries stores.

Even though I receive the Raddar flyer in my mailbox, I never use it. I always go on the Fl!p/Reebee app.

@cath007 We have RADAR as well.. I think. We received it twice 3 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago but not this week. Safeway flyer was one page (both sides..woopee!) and when I picked up the Safeway flyer in store yesterday, it too was only one page. They are all cheeping out hoping I guess that we will wander the store and spend more. Mind you the Canadian Tire flyer is as large as always..Walmart was missing.. Shoppers was missing and large Metro flyer.

@Tweets77 ty for mentioning the ridiculous 1 page flyers. I thought it was just me when I picked them up in store at both WM and FreshCo.
I lifted a few up to see if pages were missing. Nope. We stopped getting paper flyers when The Scarborough Mirror folded and I don't have
any newspaper home delivery subscriptions. There was nothing in hard copy flyers until CP stepped up.

However, the inconsistency was and still is quite aggravating. One week I'll get a Metro and a FB but no WM or FreshCo. I've never gotten
GT or NF after the Mirror folded, not even from CP. The next delivery I'd get the opposite.....A FreshCo and a WM but no FB or Metro.
Fun fact: the flyers that have NOTHING that week to entice me to go there are the ones that I get delivered that week!! ha ha ha

Mind you the flyers that always come are ones I never use. Cdn Tire, SDM, Rexall, Furniture Stores and Hardware Stores. From mailbox to
my blue bin in one toss! 2 Points!

customers to act like it's the end of the world and to stock up like that??
