I opted to put up the outside decorations. Theme - red, white (silver) and blue. (DH has a connection to the US through his kids and my parents were from England.) I pulled together things we already had with a few purchases from Value Village and another local 2nd hand store. We also go two lit vine deer on sale this weekend at Canadian Tire. Haven't had the energy to tackle the patio which is our view from our livingroom yet. I'll see if I can take a picture tonight.
They're having a "Take a Pet Picture With Santa" day today and I considered going, but our one puppy would probably bark at him and then jump on his lap for an ear scratch and the other one would just bite him! So maybe I'll give it a pass.
DH is plenty sore today after his fall. We went back to ER and he had an x-ray of his knee but that too is a "soft tissue" injury, so he's supposed to take it easy. - HA!

Yep, hear y'all about not shopping. Don't want to mess with crowds, but mostly don't want to go out of the warm house.
avon, hope your husband heals up quickly. Sometimes a soft tissue injury is harder and longer to heal than a break...

Okay. I have to ask: why the name "padyofurniture"?
Avon....give your hubby a big hug for me, okay? I hope he heals fast...but knowing him, he'll be putting up lights, hauling those reindeer, and doing everything he's not supposed to do. Smack him upside the head for me, will you?

The name comes from the movie Patch Adams. It was the name Robin Williams gives his police officer puppet.

I THINK....I'm done shopping for our DD!! I found a nice evening clutch for her at the Bay and ordered it....her other stuff should be coming in shortly...I've wrapped everything else...found a nice deal for SIL at Moores BOGO this afternoon...and whoa!! We had to go to 3 locations before we found WHITE wrapping tissue!! Thank you, AGAIN, Target!! Hubby and I agreed that our trip to Washington in April would be our gift to each other, but geez...he has to have something to open!! So SIL picked up a pair of winter boots and nice slippers at Softmoc that I had them set aside for me...am I really done??? Or is just the first round done?!!
I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!
How about you all? Done for now, or done, done?!

I didn't get out on Friday because I had to work til 3pm. Went out on Saturday from around 11am to just after 4pm. I hate it when the malls/shops are as you described. Makes me want to take a cattle prod shopping with me (I recall a taser event in the US lol). Especially to Costco so I can hit all the people who gather around the sample tables blocking all traffic.
