His assistant gave me an hour-long harsh catty talk weeks ago, the way she said something made it look like my super also disapproved of what I had done. Deep down, I know I followed standard protocol. The person I went to said I have taken the appropriate steps to address the problem, and I'm not in the wrong. I'm just kinda wary, I guess. I've been avoiding him since receiving the "catty talk." But I know I can't carry this on forever. So for better or worse, playing nice is probably better than being cold.

My Easter bunny name is Smartie Doodles.
This is tougher than you think? And it will get your brain going!
See if you can figure out what these seven words all have in common?
1. Banana
2. Dresser
3. Grammar
4. Potato
5. Revive
6. Uneven
7. Assess
Are you peeking or have you already given up? Give it another try....
Look at each word carefully. You'll kick yourself when you discover the answer.
No, it is not that they all have at least 2 double letters......
Answer:
In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word,
and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.Last edited by toban; Thu, Apr 2nd, 2015 at 09:25 PM.

Hi, Andi!!! It's SO nice to see Lily Dog and...okay, even Quincy again!!! Love that in their 'sunny spot', Lily Dog has captured the sunlight and is finally overshadowing Quincy! Which, as I understand it, is not always the case...but you know I just loves doggies more...!! Quincy, of course, looks less than impressed!
Have a lovely weekend, Andi!!
Good morning, everyone! See how distracted I am with a pretty face? (Lily Dog)....I neglect everyone else!
I wish you all a lovely, blessed day, stay well!!!
Amira, in the east here, it's unbelievable that someone somewhere is planting flowers!!! I hope your gardens thrive beautifully! As for the wood chips, we've always been partial to them, since they keep the weeds down, as well as helping keep moisture in the ground. As they deteriorated over the years, adding mulch to the soil, we just toss a fresh layer over it all and it just refreshes the look! We like the redwood chips.... Have a wonderful vacation!!!!
Take good care everyone....today I'm baking the carrot cake our DD asked me to make for Easter dessert tomorrow (since some of their guests travel), then I'll cream cheese frost it in the morning, make up a few appetizer recipes I'm making to serve before dinner, and we'll (read: I'll do some cutting up while sitting at the table, hubby will do everything else) make the dressing and plop it into the crock pot, and my hubby is making his famous Caesar Salad...good thing we don't have to be there until 2pm tomorrow!Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Apr 3rd, 2015 at 10:26 AM.

Oh my gosh, the house smells wonderful with that cake! I used the same recipe I always use:
Carrot Cake 111 in Allrecipes.com, and toss in a good 1 1/2cups of raisins and it's never let me down...so easy, too!
I was going to use my absolutely yummy "cheat" frosting (1 container ready-made frosting and 1 container Marshmallow Fluff beat together!), but naturally DD said, I hope you're using cream cheese frosting...."Oh! Absolutely! It's traditional!"...it's not, of course, but most people associate the two (which I didn't know until recently). I used my 10" springform pan so I'll frost the whole thing...
Hope you try it soon, Hon....it's so good!!

The one I've made a few times is this one: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Sams-Famous-Carrot-Cake but I need to go buy some buttermilk if I want it for Easter.
My mother pranked me one year. I had wanted one for my birthday and she had my brother make a box cake. I was so disappointed. Then they brought out the real cake lol

Hon, I never buy buttermilk for recipes...just add 2 tbsp vinegar to 1 cup of milk and let stand 5-10 minutes!
Box cake...lol! I BET you were disappointed! It's just as easy to make home-made cake...no idea why anyone would prefer chemicals over real cake!!
Happy Easter, Hon!Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Apr 3rd, 2015 at 08:09 PM.

I will try that vinegar thing out. No sense in buying more than regular milk. The last time I bought buttermilk it was on sale for 1.99/L. I was also thinking about making a Texas sheet cake. I was on the Pioneer Woman website and came across the recipe. Easy as.
